This bespoke tour will explore the integral relationship of Cushendun Village and hinterland with significant political events which have shaped the community and architecture, visiting a number of landmarks in Cushendun which tell the story of the seafaring and farming community, the harbour, which once held its own passport office, Cushendun Regatta and the links between North Antrim and Scotland.

Please wear suitable walking attire. Mainly flat terrain.

🌟 All-Terrain Wheelchair Available for Loan! 🌟

Mae Murray Foundation are excited to be able to offer an all-terrain wheelchair for up to one week, available for collection at Glenmona House in Cushendun. This wheelchair loan scheme is especially aimed at people living or holidaying in the area. The chair must be booked 5 days in advance. The chair will be handed over by National Trust staff. (Please note: Cushendun and Newcastle beaches do not currently have facilities to Inclusive Beach standard.) Terms and conditions apply.

Learn about the painters that have given us an amazing exhibition for the next two weekends.
Come on walking tours to explore the places Charles McAuley, Theo Gracey and all of the other well-known artists spent time & resided in Cushendun. These tours on the Cushendun artists are being provided by Jude Mc Neill from Cushendun Tours.

- ‘Cushendun Big Houses' Walking Tour is scheduled for Sunday 30th June at 11am. This tour will feature the 5 Big Houses of Cushendun - Cave House, Cushendun House, Glendun Lodge, Rockport Lodge and Glenmona House and their historical links with art, culture, politics and heritage.
We will walk around the beautiful village of Cushendun, the beach and Caves.
Meeting point - car park in front of Glenmona House. Cost - £10 pp

Storytelling Camp in the Glens of Antrim (CHANGE OF DATE)

Due to the poor weather conditions, and the lack of gritting due to strike action, we have had to change the dates of the second Storytelling Camp as it is not safe to travel.

It will now take place on 26th-28th January 2024 in the same venue - Ballyeamon Barn in the Glens of Antrim. The programme has been revised to include a Burns Night Dinner and story on Friday night and a Tour of the 5 Big Houses in Cushendun on Saturday.
