The duckings are getting bigger, there are 8 altogether, so cute 🥰

Our hens are doing well, and have started laying eggs. I’m teaching them to use the feeder, they need to learn to stand on the step to open the feeder. Still quite timid but getting braver. Our next guests will be getting fresh eggs 😊

From large commercial shed to outdoors living 🥰

Here they are our new arrivals. They look very poor atm as they’ve been rehomed from a commercial farm by the charity Fresh Start for Hens. They collected and rehomed up to 3000 chickens on Saturday. I don’t think they’ve ever been outside and are very timid. With a bit of tlc they will grow their feathers back and put on some weight. We always get our chickens from the charity, as it gives them a chance to have a happy retirement.

We have some very new residents on the farm. Will try and post a photo tomorrow, they only arrived yesterday and are recovering from their long journey. Can you guess what they are? 😆
