My passion for travel has been a significant part of my life since a young age, leading me to make the exciting decision to leave my corporate career after 33 years. 🌍 When your Travel Counsellor says she goes above and beyond… this week I might have taken that a little too literally! 🤣

While Mum & Dad jetted off on a well-deserved holiday to Mexico, I’ve been on grandparent duty – and let’s just say it’s been busy!

I’ve climbed through the trees at Go Ape, celebrated a first day at High School with Josh and tried (and mostly failed) to keep up with the whirlwind that is Millie – honestly, I’ve no idea where she gets all that energy from! 🤪

And in between episodes of Cocomelon and Mickey Mouse, I even managed to sneak in some travel planning.

👉 Just before the phone starts ringing off the hook - babysitting isn’t part of the Travel Counsellor service 😂. But what is included is me going the extra mile to make sure your holidays are looked after with the same care I give my own family.

I’ll be back at my desk full-time on Monday and already have some exciting enquiries lined up – think a city break to Krakow, a family cruise for 2027 and a Christmas break to New York. 🎄🗽

✨Why settle for one destination when you can wake up somewhere new every morning?✨

That’s one of the reasons I love a cruise – exploring multiple places without the hassle of repacking! On our last trip we stopped at some incredible ports and one that had been on my list for ages was Valencia.

It didn’t disappoint! I was surprised at how big and vibrant the city is – with so much to see and do. From the futuristic City of Arts & Sciences, to the stunning Valencia Cathedral (where the Holy Grail is said to be kept!) and of course the lively food scene with authentic paella (which was born here 🍴) – the city has it all.

What makes Valencia extra special is that it’s not just a city break; it’s got gorgeous golden beaches too, so you really do get the best of both worlds. 🌆🏖️

It was only a day stop this time, but it’s definitely somewhere I’d love to go back and spend longer exploring.
