Allanbank Holiday Cottages are three self catering cottages on the eastern side of the Scottish Borders. Groom's and Gardener's each sleep 4 in two bedrooms, and The Coach House sleeps 2, in one double bedroom. Dogs are welcome in Groom's and Gardener's. The Cottages are situated in beautiful quiet grounds and warm and cosy even through the winter months. There is an art studio at Allanbank where

we run year round courses, and guests are welcome to join in with classes, or book private teaching. The surrounding area provides lots to do for the holidaymaker, and the cottages are within an hour of Edinburgh and Newcastle. Previous guests to Allanbank have enjoyed exploring the local countryside, trips to the Coast, excellent Golf, Fishing and much more. We have spent January refurbishing Groom's and Gardener's Cottages and are absolutely delighted with how they look.The cottages now have free Wi-Fi, new flooring, new furniture, new ovens and hobs, new tiling in the kitchens, and new shiny sinks. They are looking wonderful and as ever are cosy and warm. Here are a few pictures of Gardener's, pictures of Groom's to follow. Please like and share! We are now offering weekend/midweek bookings throughout November at discounted prices The weather might not be enticing at this time of year but Allanbank is! The cottages will be cosy, your hosts friendly, and we can even arrange things for you to do! We can get shopping delivered for when you arrive, arrange Art tuition for you or your group, arrange Yoga sessions, help you go fishing, find you the perfect golf club and arrange visits to local sights. If you want to go the the wonderful Allanton Inn for dinner (only a mile away) we will even drop you off and pick you up. Two weeks free in the Coach house in October - week beginning 15th and week beginning 22nd. The Coach House is part of the original building dating from 1780 and sleeps two, perfect for a romantic getaway and complete with a woodburner. Only an hour from Edinburgh. Lots to see and do in the area. A bottle of complimentary fizz for those that book via facebook. £200 a week including all linen etc.

It's a beautiful autumn day here in the Scottish Borders. At dusk you can still see the bats flying and the birds are still singing during the day! The cottages are warm and welcoming and we still have a few weeks left vacant in October. Dates available in November and December too. Great reductions in price for those that contact us via facebook. Please share far and wide and give everyone the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland.

We are having our first Yoga and Meditation for Total Wellbeing workshop this Sunday. It is two hours of stretching and relaxation designed to work on both your body and mind to ease out the stresses of modern life. There will be tea (normal or herbal), coffee and cake (healthy or healthyish) available afterwards along with a good, healthy chat. Bring a yoga mat if you have one or let us know if you don't and we will find one for you. You don't have to have done any yoga before or you can be as flexible as an elastic band, everyone is welcome. £15 or £10 concessions (concessions are readily available, no questions asked). We have had an extremely busy season and are fully booked until October. We would still love to welcome you over our autumn and winter time. Our cottages are warm and cosy, plenty of parking, loads to do locally, newly installed wi fi in Grooms and Gardeners and soon in the Coach House. We run art courses and you can have private tuition/coaching with our resident artist, and if you don't want to cook or go to the very wonderful Allanton Inn which is 15 minutes walk, then Liz will even cook your meal and deliver it....contact us, look forward to hearing from you Lizxx

We have had a great start to the season and welcomed some lovely guests. The cottages have had a makeover and are looking wonderful. We have a couple of weeks with vacancies left in May (14-28) and can offer great discounts to those who reply via facebook. New pictures to follow when our talented friend Jo Murphy has them ready! Happy New Year from us all at Allanbank Courtyard.
It is cold and wet outside, but the cottages are lovely and cosy and the welcome warm so it's a perfect time to book a short or long break. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the lawn is awash with daffodils.....it is all looking beautiful. Bookings are coming in well, however we have some space in the Coach House (one bedroom) in May and some space from the end of June. Please share with friends and family who might fancy a break away. We are offering discounted rates over the winter season - from now until the end of February. Still space over Hogmanay for anyone who fancies a chance to get away from it all - you can even let off fireworks on the front lawn if you want to!
