Three weeks to go until National Meadows Day! 🐝

Celebrate with us by visiting our Exmoor Meadows Day in Simonsbath on Saturday 5th July at 2.00pm.

We have a wonderful lineup of guest speakers, including:

- Holly Purdey: Farm scale meadows
- Charles Stewart Smith: Social change and community meadows
- Peter Exley: Moor Meadows: How to set up a community meadow
- Lucy Cornwall: Indicator species survey
- Mark de Wynter Smith: The meadows of Exmoor Forest Estate

We'll then enjoy a guided walk around the beautiful species-rich grasslands of Exmoor Forest Estate 🦋

Watchet, our friendly, vibrant harbour town on the West Somerset coast.

The town looks out across the Bristol Channel with views along the unspoilt coast and across to Wales. It is set against the green backdrop of Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is an excellent centre for exploring both. With the cliffs and shoreline either side of Watchet Harbour giving you the opportunity to see a fossil or two on one of their beaches, or enjoy an afternoon 'crabbing' at the Victorian tidal pool.

Boasting three fantastic museums, providing insights into the town’s maritime heritage.

You can also enjoy the sights and sounds of the historic West Somerset stream railway, with a station here in town.

The active marina now fills the ancient harbour so you can visit by boat (or just enjoy the views of the boats bobbing in the water from the Esplande). The town’s other attractions include art galleries, a theatre, independent shops, a weekly market and a great selection of cafes and pubs.

Tomorrow's menu is locked and loaded for Father's Day!

For just £15, you can enjoy a burger, chips, and a bottle of booze - cheers to that!

Heads up, though - we're looking to be pretty busy between 12:30-1:30, so if you're swinging by then, sit back, relax and enjoy the sunshine as there may be a short wait for food.
