Another alternative if you have taken part in our Bronze or Silver Steam Engineman Courses is to participate in the final stage - the Gold Course!

Two full round trips from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard hauling empty coaches. Participants are required to have taken part in a Bronze stage course before being permitted onto the Gold course. This is so you have all the necessary knowledge required for you to enjoy your day.

Starting at 7.00 at Minehead, you will take part in prepping the engine and have one trip on the footplate and the other travelling in the train. 4 participants are taken for two round trips on the line.

There are two dates for 2025 - 22nd August & 13th October, so make sure to book your place before they sell out!

Hello lovely people......

As many of you know we have lots planned for this year.....

But before we go forward with our endeavors we are on the look out for a Fiddle player to enhance our performance in our unique and signature way

Are you a fiddle player looking to join a folk duo?
Or maybe you know a fiddle player who has a passion for folk music and is keen on sharing their musical flare.

We are looking for some one who is familiar with their folk, gypsy jazz and celtic styles as well as their own musical influences to emphasize our gritty heartfelt songs.
You need to be prepared to gig most weekends of the year and join us in travel up and down the country.

It's been ages since we've put up an ale post, it's about time we started showing you guys what's on the pumps regularly again, here's this week's offerings.....

A fantastic Christmassy offering from Otter Brewery with their Otter Claus, coming in at 5% but it's dangerously easy to drink!! Then a new beer to us, but not to the world, you could even say one of the classics.... Wadworth Brewery 's 6X. If you don't know it, you should, pop in and grab a pint of this wonderfully malty amber ale while it's still there!!
