Day 7 – Last Full Day
Today was our last full day in Florida, and it was packed with plenty of fun and memorable experiences.
We started the morning with breakfast at The Grove Resort & Water Park before being taken on a tour of the resort. We learned more about the benefits available when booking through Ocean Florida, and there are some fantastic perks that make staying here even more appealing.
After the tour, we had a few hours to enjoy the water park. One of the highlights was taking on the FlowRider with one of our group leaders. It was so much fun and definitely provided plenty of laughs, although staying upright was easier said than done! We also had access to a private cabana, which was the perfect place to relax and cool off between activities.
In the afternoon, we headed to Sonesta ES Suites on International Drive. The location is fantastic and ideal for anyone wanting to be close to the action, with easy access to restaurants, bars, attractions, and the theme parks. It is a great option for visitors looking to stay in a central location.
From there, we made our way to ICON Park. We visited Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE Orlando and enjoyed exploring both attractions. Unfortunately, The Orlando Eye was not operating during our visit, so we weren't able to experience the views across Orlando this time. Despite that, it was still a great afternoon and well worth visiting.
The evening took us to the Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show at WonderWorks. The ticket included unlimited pizza, salad, beer, wine, and soft drinks, making it great value as well as a fun night out. The show was full of comedy, audience participation, and magic tricks that kept everyone entertained.
After the show, we spent some time exploring the famous upside-down WonderWorks building. The optical illusions and interactive exhibits were great fun and made for some fantastic photo opportunities.
To round off our final evening, a few of us headed back to Disney Springs. I didn't buy anything, but the atmosphere there is always brilliant. The live music, bustling crowds, and vibrant energy make it a lovely place to spend an evening.
After a busy but fantastic day, we returned to the villa, had a shower, packed up our final bits, and headed to bed.
Tomorrow is Day 8 – travel home day, and the end of an incredible Florida educational trip with Ocean Florida.
