Terra Sarda Wines is all about bringing people together to enjoy wine and each other's company. Our tastings are not about how much you know. It's not a test (except perhaps of how much good wine you can drink!). We see wine as the start of a conversation, rather than a conversation in itself, opening up a world of experience and connection.

While she is much more qualified than ourselves in winebuffery, York's The Wine Lady Emma Moore is on the exact same page. Educated to one of the highest levels in wine appreciation, her mission is to bring those bottles down to earth for the rest of us. In her words, exploring wine should be all about enjoyment, not judgment. Hear, hear! 🍷👌

So, in advance of our Sardinian Wine and English Cheese Tasting tonight at the lovely York Distillery bar (few tickets left here 👉 https://bit.ly/3PcayyD), organised at Emma's invitation, we asked her to tell us more about her journey into wine.

This is the girl who grew up treading grapes in East Yorkshire - yes, you read that right – to become one of the UK's Instagram 'winfluencers', using her channel Wine Lady Emma to ask important questions, like 'Can Asda do a posh Champagne?'.

You can read the full interview here. It's a lot of fun: https://terrasardawines.com/blogs/news/interview-with-wine-lady-emma-the-story-of-a-yorkshire-winfluencer

Emma More is The Wine Lady, one of the industry's least stuffy experts who's all about enjoyment, not judgement

A big 'grazie' to LeedsLiving and Dr Alex Christensen for coming along to our first Wine & Sculpture: Tasting and Storytelling event at thesculpturegalleryleeds and giving us this lovely review: https://leedsliving.co.uk/art-culture/wine-sculpture-and-storytelling-at-the-sculpture-gallery-on-23-april/

Keep your eyes peeled for our next event in the Gallery - it's a bijou space and tickets will again be limited.

Meanwhile, if you are a corporate or individual looking to organise a similar experience in the centre of Leeds, we'd love to hear from you! 👌

On Thursday evening, I spent a couple of hours at The Sculpture Gallery in the Corn Exchange, attending a wine-tasting event with a bit of a twist. The gallery, which just celebrated its fourth birthday, is run by co-owners Pete Donnelly, David Iredale, Mandy Long, Steve Williams, Jay Gilleard a ...

Female founder? Aspiring self-starter? Bootstrapping a business? Creating a community?

Join us for a professional and personal power-up during York International Women's Week - YIWW at Patch – the fabulous co-working space that's supported Terra Sarda Wines from Day 1.

We'll be using the event to launch a new wine - our first from a certified organic vineyard, founded and run by a female winemaker, too - La casa di Sophia 🍷💪 So excited!

Well this is fascinating.... a 3,000 year old connection between Sardinia and England - specifically Cornwall!

A just-published study of Nuraghic Bronze Age figurines mentions in passing that - despite having their own tin mines - the islanders may have used both Spanish and Cornish tin to make their alloys. Curious. Why?

A little digging revealed another recent study, this time by British scientists, which shows that Cornish tin was exported 3,000 years ago all the way to Canaan, passing through Sardinia. And some of it, presumably, never got any further!

https://www.theguardian.com/science/2025/may/07/cornish-tin-was-sold-all-over-europe-3000-years-ago-say-archaeologists

Now we want to know what went the other way... were Cornish tin miners partial to Sardinian wine, perhaps?! 🍷⚒

New study reveals Sardinia’s Bronze Age bronzetti were crafted with local and Iberian copper, showing vast trade networks.
