Yesterday, one of my clients was off on a well deserved solo golfing holiday to Mauritius. He was flying business class with Turkish Airlines, with a connection in Istanbul & he had his golf clubs in tow.

Now, while he was relaxing on board, I was behind the scenes tracking his flight like the travel geek I proudly am, especially when it comes to looking after my clients.

His first flight was delayed by 2 hours. That meant he was this close to missing his connecting flight to Mauritiusโ€ฆ which only runs once a day. If he missed it, heโ€™d be stuck in Istanbul for 24 hours.

So while most people were winding down for the evening, I was:

๐Ÿ” Tracking flight times in real time
๐Ÿ“ž Calling Turkish Airlines & my trade supplier to flag the situation & protect his hotel booking
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Downloading a full map of Istanbul Airport gates
๐Ÿ“ฒ Messaging him the exact gate he needed to sprint to (from C2 to F17!) with the map to help
๐Ÿ’ช Advocating for him behind the scenes, just in case he didnโ€™t make it

Thankfully he just made it. Heโ€™s now soaking up the sun in Mauritius, golf clubs intact & I can finally exhale. ๐ŸŒ๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒด
