I took a walk through the forest today thinking of the week ahead, Don't eat strange fruit from the forest! Stick to the path of needles! Don't speak to strangers! Don't look behind you! Keep one hand on your knife! Look where your going! Don't go where your looking! Don't trust a man who's eyebrows meet in the middle! All wonderful phrases from
Red and the Wolf, perhaps I should have listened to this advice since I got lost in the woods!

What a great couple of weeks we've had at Platform and Dancebase. Working with loads of talented and imaginative young people has been so much fun, and I think the work we've made together has been incredible. We're very proud of ourselves, and all our participants. Extra thanks to those who came along to our showings and got so into the piece - we hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!
Here are some of the comments from our Dancebase audience.

Tuesday at Dancebase - we worked with some of the girls from Great Feats, and were impressed by their commitment, skills and ideas. This routine looked particularly impressive - and hardly took any time at all to teach. What a group of pros!

Our first day at Dancebase was much quieter than last week, as there were only four of us in the studio most of the day. Tomorrow we're due to be joined by the members of Great Feats to start our collaborative adventures - and we can't wait!
This post is powered by the song currently stuck in my head. Goodnight, all!

Tomorrow is the beginning of our week-long residency at Dancebase. We'll be taking the work we've done with the young people at Platform, and building on it with Edinburgh-based participants. If you (or people you know) are free during the week, under the age of 18, and want to share some ideas and take part, pop along and join us! There's an open class on Thursday (no age limit there!), and we'll be showing our work at 5pm on Friday - everything is free to attend - and if you'd like to perform with us, we'd love to have you there!

Well, the October holidays are about to start, but for Liminal Dance it feels just like the start of a new school term! We're packing our bags in preparation for our first residency at Platform in Glasgow, where this week we'll be working with a group of young people to take the story of Little Red Riding Hood and re-jig it to create a fun and immersive new performance. As it's October, it might be a bit spooky too - who knows?
Our performance takes place on Friday - and all are welcome to come along, watch and take part. We'll update you with more details during the week!

We've had a great couple of days dancing through the trees in Duthie Park as part of Citymoves Dance Agency's 100 Days/100 Dances project. The audiences and participants have been wonderful and inspiring, even the big labrador that jumped on Gemma during her solo yesterday! Thank you to everyone who's come along so far.

We have one more performance there today, at 2pm opposite the cafe (or in the Temperate House if it's rainy). Let's make this one the best yet - we hope to see you there!
