🚂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Tour Highlight: 8 Day Best of Scotland including the Jacobite Steam Train

Dana, Martha and Garret, along with Sonia and Angelica, recently enjoyed eight unforgettable days discovering the very best of Scotland with Driver-Guide Jim C.

From breathtaking Highland landscapes and fascinating stories to historic landmarks and the spectacular Isle of Skye, their adventure was filled with wonderful sights and memorable moments. A particular highlight was travelling aboard the iconic Jacobite Steam Train, enjoying one of the world’s most scenic railway journeys! 🚂

📚 A wee lesson in Scottish inspiration this World Teachers’ Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Scotland has given the world remarkable inventors, wonderful writers and pioneering thinkers… but did you know some of them were teachers too?

☎️ Alexander Graham Bell taught deaf students before becoming famous for the telephone.

🏔️ Nan Shepherd, whose writing captured the magic of the Cairngorms in her novel The Living Mountain, spent decades teaching English literature to future teachers in Aberdeen.

📜 John Witherspoon, a Scottish-born educator, became president of what is now Princeton University and signed the American Declaration of Independence. From Scotland to a place in American history!

Their stories remind us how one inspiring teacher can open up a whole world of possibilities. 💙

🚨 Tour Highlight: 12 Day Outer Hebrides, Neolithic Orkney & Highlands Tour 🚨

Lynette and Susanne recently enjoyed 12 wonderful days exploring the Outer Hebrides, Orkney and the Highlands with Driver-Guide Tom.

Alongside the spectacular scenery, ancient history and much-loved tour highlights, there were certainly a few unexpected sights and plenty of laughs along the way! The ladies happened to spot a rather brave gentleman showering in the loch beside Ardvreck Castle, which certainly made for a memorable photo stop! 😂

The ferry journey to Mallaig was equally eventful. Lynette and Susanne wisely managed to stay dry despite the wind, while poor Tom, who was sitting inside the ferry lounge, was caught out by a perfectly timed gust and a large swell through an open window, resulting in a very unexpected dook! 🌊

It sounds like this Highland adventure delivered breathtaking landscapes, fascinating history and plenty of stories to take home!
