My eldest always suffers with ear ache on take offs and landings to the point she often cries. I mentioned it to a crew member and he gave her this idea of 2 cups with hot flannels inside held against her ears. Was it a placebo?? Maybe 🤷‍♂️. Did it work? Yes!! And I guess that’s all that matters. We used them for our recent flight from AYT to DXB, luggage was overweight and they didn’t bat an eyelid, set off 15 minutes later than scheduled yet arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule. You get my vote for sure 👏
