Jeff Merrett Mbe & the team got to meet one of our familys today, they was happy to have a photo and sent me lovely words to post of they stay with us at Dream-A-Way in one of our luxury caravans at devon cliffs

John said his holiday was Fantastic and inspiring! He loved having family time with his Mum, Dad, sister and 6 year old niece - she gave the holiday “thumbs up “ and they both enjoyed going to the park, beach, swimming and arcades as well as the luxury of TV in the bedroom!! Not forgetting riding upstairs on an open top bus.

Yesterday I met a lovely family Joanne, Stephen, Emily and Dillon, staying with us for a week's holiday at Devon Cliffs. Dillon has some difficulties which is why the family are with us.

Due to Dillon's difficulties, Joanne told me they needed a very clean caravan and they were so surprised to find it was spotless. Joanne and Stephen also said it was so nice to get away as a family, they were all enjoying their holiday at Devon Cliffs, the children had lots to do there and they were off to World of Country Life today and were hoping to visit The Donkey Sanctuary soon.
They were full of praise for the whole Dream-A-Way team and were enjoying their stay so much, as their caravan was unoccupied next week, they had booked it and will be staying next week as well.

A lovely family, a lovely caravan, lots to do, time to relax and a complete change from the usual stresses and strains of normal life.
That's what Dream-A-Way is all about.

Unexpectedly, we have a vacancy in our caravan in June for people who use a wheelchair. If you or someone you know uses a wheelchair and would like a low cost holiday (£300) at Devon Cliffs Holiday Park, please contact us at [email protected] for further information.
The caravan is fully equipped and you can enjoy a wonderful low cost holiday in June with us, the Devon Cliffs staff, all the entertainment, shops, restaurants and the lovely nearby Devon towns, countryside and visitor attractions.

What can you do during a holiday with Dream-A-Way at Devon Cliffs Holiday Park?
As well as a top class caravan suitable for disabled people, you can shop in the supermarket, go to shows in the evening, eat at several restaurants and takeaways, drink in the bars, use the beach (down a steep slope) swim at the indoor pool and much more. There are many indoor and outdoor activities for children including Segway's, ariel adventures, crazy golf, swings and slides to name but a few. Of course, you will also have a discount card waiting for you when you arrive.
Nearby you will have Exmouth beach which is two miles long and on the flat with its Beach Wheelchairs which also go into the sea, Exmouth town with its markets, shops, pubs, entertainment and more or you can visit nearby towns such as Dawlish, Budleigh Salterton or Sidmouth with their independent shops, Exeter for serious shopping, take a train to many South Devon towns or just chill out at your caravan, several of which have sea views.

Tracey has received a grant from Dream-A-Way towards a long weekend in a town near Blackpool.

Tracey has multiple disabilities but was able to find a hotel that can cater for her needs. She has also lost several people close to her over the past three years, and her husband who is her main carer recently had a heart attack.

Tracey will be taking her husband and fifteen year old granddaughter, who is also a carer to Tracey’s daughter as she will also benefit from a well-deserved break.

If you or anyone you know would like to stay in our specially converted caravan at Devon Cliffs holiday park, please get in contact. The caravan has been adapted to make moving around easier, has a disabled toilet and shower in a wet room and a sea view.
Devon Cliffs has everything you need for a great holiday and there are many seaside towns to visit, if you have a child, World of Country Life is next door but, our caravans are for those of all ages from 1-100 or more! Message me for more information.

Two weeks ago Veronica, her son Chris and Grandson Oscar, stayed in one of our Dream-A-Way caravans in Devon Cliffs Holiday Park. Chris lost his Dad last year leaving mum to care for, fight for and worry about Chris on her own and so a break at Devon Cliffs was a chance to charge the batteries. Veronica said:

“Thank you for giving me a pick me up week away whilst I navigate caring for my adult son after my beloved husband’s death a year ago. The break also gave us some memories with my grandson and time for a game of UNO the only game Chris will play."

This is our Maxy, the boss of Maxy Maxwell Photography. Most of the photos you see on this Facebook site are taken by Maxy. He has volunteered for Dream-A-Way for longer than he can remember. As well as taking photos, he has a varied role as chauffeur, fixer, checks caravans and much more.
He looks kind and is both laid back and a bit of a mother hen - all the assets needed for a Dream-A-Way volunteer! Thanks Maxy.

Latest news for this week:

A local bar and restaurant which closed during the winter for refurbishment was looking for a local hero. People in Exmouth voted for the person -
"Who goes above and beyond for our community and has done some amazing things."
The voting has ended and OUR SHELLEY has been voted the Local Hero and will open the new Bath House this week. Well done Shelley and a well deserved accolade.

Exmouth Beach Wheelchairs is open for the season!

"We’re excited to let you know that the Exmouth Beach Wheelchair Unit is reopening for the season – and we’d love to welcome you back!
Whether you’ve visited us before for a beach day or a swim in the sea, we’re pleased to say the service is ready to go again, and bookings are now open for 2025."

You can hire a wheelchair for free just a few minutes away from our caravans at Sandy Bay.

Our caravan in Apple Grove which is designed for the more physically challenged guests is ready for the season. (see photo below thanks Maxy Maxwell photography).

Finally, if you book one of our caravans, waiting for you on the table will be your Friends and Family discount card which will give you discounts at many shops and venues on sight.
