On Thursday 28th May 2026 the Boots On Adventures tribe headed out on a lovely evening walks from Allington to Cobtree manor to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Maidstone River Park.

Along route we explored the rich natural habitats and green spaces that make this area so special. Passing Aylesford, Contree manor and Finishing at Allington lock.

We had another great turn out of wonderful walkers along the trail, and we are looking forward to our next evening walk.

Join us for a relaxing evening walk from Seasalter to Whitstable, exploring one of Kent’s most beautiful stretches of coastline as the day begins to wind down.

Starting along the peaceful shores of Seasalter, we’ll follow the coast towards Whitstable, enjoying wide sea views, fresh coastal air, and the ever-changing scenery of the North Kent shoreline. As the sun begins to lower, the landscape takes on a different character, making this one of the most enjoyable times to experience the coast.

Our route leads us into the heart of Whitstable, a town famous for its maritime heritage, working harbour, and world-renowned oysters. Once a small fishing community, Whitstable has grown into one of Kent’s most loved seaside destinations while retaining its unique charm and character.

This is a walk designed to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace, giving plenty of opportunity to chat, take in the views, and appreciate the beauty of the Kent coast. Whether you're a regular walker or simply looking for a refreshing evening outdoors, this coastal adventure offers the perfect blend of nature, history, and good company.

🌊🥾 Join us for an evening of seaside scenery, fascinating local heritage, and a chance to experience Whitstable at its most atmospheric.

Join us on Wednesday 3rd June for a gentle and scenic 13.3 km (~8.3 mile) loop walk from the peaceful village of Shipbourne, starting beside the historic St Giles Church and village green. This relaxed midweek adventure explores a quieter corner of Kent, where rolling countryside, ancient paths, and centuries of rural life come together.

Shipbourne has deep agricultural roots, and its name is thought to derive from the sheep once washed in the local stream, or “bourne”, that flows through the parish. The landscape surrounding the village has been shaped over generations by farming, creating the patchwork of fields, hedgerows, and woodland that we see today.

Our route follows easy-going paths through open farmland, woodland edges, and peaceful countryside, offering a chance to slow down and enjoy the simple beauty of rural Kent. We’ll begin near St Giles Church, a Victorian church built in the late 1800s to replace an earlier medieval place of worship, reflecting the long history woven into this small village community.

Almost entirely flat, this walk is perfect for those looking for a calm, social-paced midweek outing — an opportunity to stretch the legs, enjoy good company, and reconnect with nature away from the busier trails.

With its combination of gentle terrain, village history, and tranquil scenery, this walk offers a refreshing escape into one of Kent’s hidden corners. 🌿🥾
