So yesterday I went on a little walk in the peak district
36 km to be exact working for supporting the 9 edges for .

Every one was amazing but the little legs amongst us, the youngest 8, they where awe-inspiring. My feet and legs where sore at the end of the day, so I can only imagine how they felt. but with plenty of sweets for bribery some words of inspiration they absolutely nailed it.

If you get chance check out its an amazing charity really making a difference. An illness surrounded by so much sadness in paediatric brain tumours.

I walked(hobbled) away from yesterday feeling grateful for what I have in my family, health and my work. Especially my little ones .

Lovely day spent on Yr Wyddfa for playing dodge the weather. We done the route in reverse which ment we missed the gnarly weather at the summit it was almost tropical 😂. And ment we could have a leisurely walk down the ranger path back to Llanberis. Super nice group too, never feels like work on days like this.

The building blocks of how to navigate safely and efficiently in the mountains. Ok i know we have phones and GPS devices but all know technology can fail us whether the Battry dies or it gets damaged.
Have you been out in winter and tried using technology in sub zero temps? never mind the battry dying faster but also taking gloves off at those temps isn't ideal. This is where a map and compass into its own. No battry needed, gloves can stay on and with a map case its robust.

If your intrested in learning how to navigate using a map and compass are running a intro to Navigation course on the 22nd of March. Message me for more information.

Last weekends Jolly in the hills of Eryri gang. It was great to be in what i consider my second home. The mountains feel like part of me and Wales in my blood (i get that from my grandma).

Day 1 was a walk up Moel Eilio , Foel Gron, Foel goch, Moel Cynghorion then followed the ranger path up towards Yr Wyddfa before turning back down the llanberis path

Day 2 was nice but boggy day up Moel Siabod heading up the Daear Ddu ridge and back down the path to forest at Capel Curig

Fun fact Capel Curig is the wettest place in UK

A lovely walk from chapel stile to my mums tree at loughrigg tarn. Loughrigg holds a special place in my heart. Its because of my mum bringing me areas like this as a child that I love the outdoors and I do the job I do now.
