Getting ready for next year!
This summer wasn’t as planned thanks to injuries but I’m super excited to be getting ready for next season and making the most of the rain to be getting some of the leg work done for next season.
All my adventures will be on the website so you can read through them as a family and get excited about your day out together! I can’t wait to welcome more families to the highlands and take them on unforgettable adventures!
*I am also of course happy to facilitate adventures for groups of friends and individuals!*

We had an amazing day exploring Glen Duror with the Cochrane's and the Baynes's.
We let the kids take the lead as we explored and found some amazing places that I doubt many other people have been to.
Everyone had the chance to lead the group and decided where we went while making sure everyone (the grownups!) could keep up with them.
We found a stunning spot the build miniature dens for the fairies before making our way to the bothy to escape the rain over lunch.
All the kids had the chance to learn to light a fire using a flint and steal and were impressive with their perseverance with this tricky skill.
After lunch we started to make our way back playing camouflage and nature bingo as we went.

It was a pleasure to take the Cochrane family out to Corrour for Hamish (11) and Fraser (6) to climb their first Munro, Beinn na Lap.

We left Fort William on the 7:44 train reaching Corrour station at 8:30 ready to start the hike. The whole family where keen and ready to go and the sun was shining.

During the walk everyone did amazingly coping well with the ascent and also learning about all the incredible natural wonders at our feet, we spotted many lichens and mosses, including the war zone between lichens, and club moss, an special moss that only grows above 600m and was around at the same time as the Dinosaurs.

We reached the summit after 3 hours of walking and enjoyed a well earned rest an picnic before heading back down to the station where we all enjoyed a well earned drink and some cake!

Well done boys on your first Munro you did brilliant job!

I’ve been working really hard today 😁.

Today’s mission was to visit a couple of locations on the beautiful ardnamurchan peninsula to see if I could use them for ‘Go Wild’ nights. It was a hard job but someone had to do it 😅

Both singing sands and smirisary beach more than lived up to expectations and I can’t wait to take families out to explore them both!

Our Go Explore day is a a great way to visit somewhere new with your family!

Leave the beaten track and go your own way. A great day for the kids! With only a vague plan in mind, we will head out and explore. The kids can take the lead, with minimal guidance (but a careful eye on safety), allowing them to learn about decision making and thinking through options.

The beautiful Glen Duror is the perfect place to explore in a full day adventure not matter the weather. With plenty of woodland, streams, waterfalls and a bothy there is something for everyone and masses of fun to be had!
