A spacious, newly built self-catering accommodation with stunning views across Loch Leven towards the Pap of Glencoe sleeping 8 – 10 persons. Lochleven Seafood Cottage is associated to Lochleven Shellfish Company, which has been exporting live shellfish to Europe and the Far East for many years, and is a part of a group of small sister companies which manage the harvestin

g of all types of seafood, from the local catch, its preparation, through to the sale of the fresh shellfish, and served from the menu in restaurants. Beside the Cottage is the Lochleven Seafood Café and shop which was developed from an interest from locals and tourists alike wishing to purchase and experience the freshest of shellfish from the local environment of Loch Leven. The shop provides a choice of live, fresh and also cooked shellfish, whilst the restaurant has over the years gained a reputable name for its high standards of quality and service to the local community and visitors alike. A regular changing menu also provides for meat and vegetarian dishes. There is a selective wine list to complement such good food. Guest book comments endorse the quality of the whole experience: “12,000 miles for the best seafood platter we have ever had” is just one of many comments from overseas visitors to the area. So, with further land owned by the company, a natural progress was to develop a self-catering holiday cottage that would provide not only top quality accommodation in such a beautiful setting, directly overlooking Loch Leven, but also to have on hand a restaurant and shop to enable ease of dining out, or option to purchase and prepare your own meals in the modern, well-equipped kitchen at Lochleven Seafood Cottage.
