We’re currently building something that we hope can become a genuinely useful platform for both visitors to Scotland and the businesses that make Scottish tourism special.
It’s called Tartan Tour.
Tartan Tour is a dedicated Scotland travel app designed to help visitors plan their trip, discover places to visit and find things to see and do while they’re actually travelling around the country.
But our ambition goes much further than simply creating another travel guide.
We want Tartan Tour to become a platform that helps connect visitors directly with Scottish tourism businesses, attractions and experiences.

One of the areas we’re particularly excited about is making Tartan Tour useful while someone is actually travelling around Scotland, rather than only during the planning stage.
Hamish Live helps travellers discover interesting places, landmarks, history and useful information around them as they explore.
And that’s where we see a huge opportunity for Scottish tourism businesses.
Imagine someone travelling through an area and discovering an attraction, experience, distillery, golf course or independent business nearby that they simply didn’t know existed.
That’s the type of discovery we want Tartan Tour to encourage.
