Everyone has heard of Edinburgh Castle 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 maybe you have even been lucky enough to see it sitting majestically above Scotland's capital city?

Scotland is blessed with an abundance of Castles, steeped in their own exciting history and now often used as backdrops and settings for films and famous TV series' 🎥 like Outlander.

We thought we would put together a list of some of the lesser known Castles. Although not as famous, they are often just as spectacular and always steeped in the infamous history ⚔️ and culture 👑 of our nation 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Maybe some of you with Scottish roots have connections to these Castles too?

Today is Earth Day.

Here at Inspiring Travel Scotland, we wanted to share a photograph taken on one of our Tours of Scotland taken a few years ago.

We just wanted show a beautiful scene from a tour of Scotland to remind everyone (as we all remain indoors), how beautiful our planet is. Admittedly we are slightly bias, but Scotland truly is one of the most spectacular places on Earth.
Although we are all going through difficult times right now we will get through it together and once again able to get out and about and witness incredible scenes, like this one from the Highlands of Scotland.
