Built over 700 years ago, is it recognised as one of the greatest buildings of the Middle Ages around the world.
Caernarfon Castle, along with Conwy, Beaumaris and Harlech are grouped together as Edward the 1st castle, and protected as a World Heritage Sites.
The castle is on the banks of the River Seiont, with its immense curtain walls and very daunting Kings Gate, which were designed to withstand assault. It also features the polygonal towers, multi-coloured masonry, eagle statues and the walls of Constantinople which echo the Roman architecture
