I have been looking into facilities for disabled and less mobile guests in the Maldives and it seems to be a little hit and miss but many of the resorts offer more accessible accommodation than expected. The one stumbling block which is common to all of them is the transfer to the island. This is either done by seaplane or speedboat. Speedboat is probably easier for most disabled guests but getting on and off the boat will be difficult for a wheelchair user and may require a lot of help.
