Great news if youโ€™re flying from Birmingham or Edinburgh airports โ€“ the 100ml liquid rule is officially a thing of the past (at least on the way out)! These two airports are the first in the UK to fully lift the liquid restrictions for all passengers thanks to new 3D security scanners. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Hereโ€™s what you can now do at Birmingham & Edinburgh:
โœ… Carry liquids in containers up to 2 litres
โœ… Keep all liquids and electronics in your hand luggage
โœ… No need for plastic bags or removing items at security

Other airports are catching up, with many now using the new scanners part-time. These include:
๐Ÿ“ Manchester (but not all scanners are upgraded โ€“ especially in Terminals 1 & 3)
๐Ÿ“ Bristol, Gatwick, Leeds Bradford, Luton, Newcastle, Southend & Teesside (liquids/electronics can often stay in your bag)

โš ๏ธ Important Note:
Even if you can take larger liquids out of the UK, the 100ml rule still applies when returning from abroad, including flights back from Europe. So donโ€™t pack big bottles in your hand luggage for the return trip just yet!
