Ayia Napa is a resort town on the south-east coast of Cyprus, which is a four-and-a-half-hour flight from the UK. It’s known for being a bit of a party animal, thanks to its nightclubs, karaoke bars and foam parties. But it’s also got a peaceful side, with cobbled streets, harbourside tavernas and a Medieval monastery.

With a big pool, a generous dose of things to do, and a well-known restaurant on its doorstep, the Makronisos Village is a great choice for families.

This hotel makes the most of Ayia Napa’s sleepier side. It’s on the outskirts of town, about a 10-minute taxi ride from the centre. You can walk to lively Nissi Beach in about the same time.

Just like its name suggests, this place is designed like a little village, with accommodation blocks spread among landscaped gardens. Inside, rooms are really spacious, and have recently been refurbed to a modern standard.

Garcia Resort & Spa is situated on the blue lagoon surrounded by mountains & beautiful flowers. The hotel has to offer many facilities including Wifi, air conditioning, spa & sauna, gym, live day & evening entertainment like water polo, balloon shooting & evening shows. Kids club, 6 swimming pools inc a indoor pool, kids pool & water slides, buffet a la carte meals.

Just a short 3 minute taxi ride takes you to Oludeniz town centre where you can find shops, bars, restaurants, boat trips, cable cars and paragliding off the mountains.

Fethiye town is a 10 min ride away taking you to the harbour also with many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants & be sure not to miss their markets on Tuesdays.

Then there is lively Hisaronu a 8 min ride away full of shops, restaurants, bars & clubs open until the early hours of the morning.

If that isn’t enough you could try a trip to turtle beach 🏝️ 🐢 or adventure out on quad bikes, take a day trip to Rhodes or simply relax in a mud bath.
