There is no disrespect to Emirates in this post, because they are a fantastic airline with an exceptional product and are doing a brilliant job in this crisis with their policies being fair and easy to navigate.
However it highlights the benefits of using an agent over the airline directly, they have call wait times over 3 hours and replying to emails within 72 hours. It also massively shows the benefit of getting a Package Holiday that is ATOL protected with a reputable Tour Operator.
We are answering the phone within seconds and replying to emails in 5 - 10 minutes, as well as dealing with your hotels/transfers etc. Most customers wouldn’t want to wait 3 hours each time they try to get hold of an airline or an online agency.
As an ATOL holder we are entirely responsible for all components of your booking and are dealing with that and looking after all our customers.
I’ve also had people who haven’t booked with me contact me for advice! Hopefully they remember my number next time they are making a booking! 😉
