It's only when I look at my bookings for the next year that I realise just how many different ways there are to spend a holiday.

Right now, I've got clients preparing for a honeymoon in St Lucia, a Mediterranean cruise from Venice, exploring Japan, relaxing in Mauritius, celebrating a 50th birthday in New York, heading to Florida for a family adventure and enjoying everything from sunshine breaks in Spain to city escapes in Krakow.

With lots of clients heading off in the next few weeks, now is a great time to start thinking about what your next big adventure might look like. 🌍

From Disney World to New York City and now a safari in Tanzania...I think this testimonial says more than I ever could!

One of the things I'm most grateful for is having clients who come back to me year after year as their travel plans evolve. An anniversary celebration in Disney, milestone birthdays in New York, a dream safari adventure and everything in between. Being trusted to help create so many different memories over the years is something I'll never take for granted.

It also highlights something people are often surprised by, the sheer variety of holidays I can help plan. From city breaks and cruises to family adventures, tailor-made touring itineraries and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Whatever stage of life you're in, I'd love to help bring your next trip to life.

Tanzania has been very much on my desk lately and planning a safari like this is exactly why I love tailor-made travel so much 🐘.

Safaris are never just “pick a lodge and go”. There’s so much that goes into creating the right itinerary. Northern or Southern Tanzania? Following the Great Migration through the Serengeti? Experiencing the Ngorongoro Crater? Combining safari with Zanzibar? Understanding how different parks, seasons, wildlife experiences and travel styles all fit together is what really shapes the trip.

This particular client journey has involved carefully bringing together incredible wildlife experiences, luxury lodges, internal flights, transfers and the right pacing to create something that feels exciting, immersive and completely personal to them.

This is where having somebody experienced really matters. Using first-hand knowledge from colleagues who specialise in Africa, trusted supplier relationships and expertise to build something around the client because no two safaris, and no two travellers are the same.

Trips like this are exactly why I love adventure travel and touring so much. It’s a real passion of mine and planning journeys like this are the part of my job where I get really excited.

I’ve recently confirmed an incredible tailor-made itinerary through the Amazon, Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands for my clients and it’s the kind of trip that reminds me just how extraordinary travel can be. The sort of places and wildlife you’d normally only experience through a documentary, except this time my clients will be right there in the middle of it all, experiencing it for themselves.

This is where tailor-made travel really comes into its own. Bringing together rainforest accommodation, wildlife experiences, island hopping, flights, timings and all the finer details to create one huge adventure. No rushed “one size fits all” itinerary, but something completely built around the client and the way they want to experience the world.

For me, that’s the magic of travel.

Travel can feel very different depending on the person experiencing it and over the years that’s something I’ve become far more aware of through both personal and professional experience.

No two travellers are ever the same, which is why I strongly believe holidays shouldn’t be either. A huge part of what I do is getting to know my clients properly so I can tailor trips around the people at the heart of them, from the very first ideas right through to the final touches.

Whilst I’m not neurodivergent myself, ADHD is something very close to home within my own family, so I understand first-hand how much the right planning and support can help when it comes to travelling.

Often it’s not actually the destination that feels difficult, it’s everything around it. Airports, queues, waiting around, busy itineraries, too much information at once or simply not knowing what to expect.

That’s why I always try to approach these conversations thoughtfully and without assumption. For some clients, that means building more breathing space into an itinerary. For others, it’s simplifying options, planning quieter transfers, considering room locations or simply communicating in a way that feels more comfortable for them.

The more experience I gain, both personally and professionally, the more I realise how important it is that travel feels accessible, comfortable and enjoyable for everybody because personalised travel should always start with understanding the people at the heart of the trip.

A little reminder about something really special going on in September 🇲🇦

You may remember a few weeks ago I shared “Morocco – Through HER Eyes” an exclusive women-only hosted small group journey, created especially for Travel Counsellors clients and hosted by fellow Travel Counsellor, Pippa, after personally travelling this route herself.

This isn’t just about ticking off Morocco’s highlights, it’s about experiencing the country in a much more authentic and meaningful way, alongside local women and the people who truly know it best.

From the colour and energy of Marrakech, to the calm of the Atlas Mountains and the magic of the Agafay Desert at sunset, every part of this itinerary has been carefully designed to feel personal, supportive and immersive.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy home-cooked meals, meaningful conversations, visits with inspiring local women, time at the incredible Amal Association and a special farewell dinner at the pioneering women-run restaurant Al Fassia.

The experience will also be hosted locally throughout, allowing the group to experience Morocco through real stories, local knowledge and genuine connections rather than simply “seeing the sights”.

Group numbers will intentionally stay small so it feels relaxed, safe and welcoming, so you're able to join solo or travel with a friend.

I know some people may have missed this the first time round, so if this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, message me and I’d be happy to send over the full itinerary and details ✈️

This weather is dangerous because now I can’t stop thinking about pools, sunshine and booking another holiday ☀️

For some, it’s a luxury adults-only escape with an infinity pool and complete peace and quiet 🍸
For others, it’s a family resort with slides, splash parks and enough entertainment to keep everyone happy 🎢
Maybe it’s a swim-up room, a private villa and pool 🌴

So if this reel has you mentally sitting by one of these pools already, don’t forget to ask me about your next getaway 👀 . One thing I’ve learned after years of planning holidays is that no two clients ever travel the same way.

(Oh and don't forget to let me know which type of pool person you are!)

One of the loveliest parts of this job is how many of my clients come to me through other clients.

Friends recommending friends. Families passing my details on. Someone mentioning me over coffee when the holiday planning stress starts creeping in and that kind of support never gets old.

So every year, I like to give something back to say thank you.

You may have seen already, so this is just a reminder that my annual referral competition is back and this year’s prize is another very special one.

Every time somebody you recommend books with me between 1st December 2025 and 30th November 2026, your name will be entered into a prize draw to WIN a luxury journey onboard the incredible Northern Belle 🚂.

Think:
🥂 Champagne & canapés
🍽️ A 7-course lunch
🎶 Live entertainment
☕ Fortnum & Mason tea
🧀 Cheese & port
…and one very glamorous day out.

So if somebody pops into your mind whilst reading this, maybe they’re planning a big adventure, a special celebration or simply want somebody to take the stress out of organising it all, please remember to mention my name and send them my way ✈️

And thank you, always, for continuing to support my business 🤍

Still one of my pinch me moments !
To start a business from scratch, with no client base and then find yourself being recognised as one of the higher performing businesses - I must be doing something right 😎 and couldn’t do it without my amazing clients 🙏

Take a sneak peek into our second Gold Weekend of 2026.

We recently celebrated some of our top-performing business owners with an unforgettable luxury trip to the Athens Riviera — featuring local experiences, wellness sessions, premium supplier networking, and five-star hospitality overlooking the Temple of Poseidon at the stunning Cape Sounio.

It’s just one of the many ways we recognise success and help our community to thrive.

Suggesting holidays based around somebody’s specific interests or hobbies is always such a fun type of trip to plan and having partnerships like Not In The Guidebooks is perfect for exactly that. It’s always one of the first places I turn when I get a request like this.

This particular booking was for a client who is really into fitness and wanted to go away solo, but didn’t fancy simply lying by a pool for a week.

So instead, I suggested this incredible luxury fitness retreat in Spain and it ended up being exactly the kind of experience he was looking for. 🇪🇸

What I love about Not In The Guidebooks is that they specialise in holidays that feel a little different. Experiences built around people’s lifestyles, interests and passions rather than just “standard” holidays.

This particular retreat is intentionally kept really small too, with a maximum group size of just 16 guests, making it feel much more personal, supportive and exclusive throughout the week.

The retreat includes:
- Luxury private apartment accommodation with no single supplement
- Daily yoga & Pilates
- HIIT, beach circuits & core training
- Guided hikes
- Meditation & wellness sessions
- Nutrition workshops
- Spa & gym access
- Healthy fresh meals throughout the stay
- Airport transfers included

All whilst staying in a beautiful luxury wellness complex just 10 minutes from the beach.

And this is exactly why I love tailor-made travel so much. Sometimes the perfect trip isn’t the obvious one, it’s finding the experience that genuinely fits the person taking it.
