⚠️ Bluetongue update⚠️

APHA has advised that midges are now active, and recent warm weather means bluetongue virus can replicate and spread more easily.

The current risk of bluetongue transmission remains medium, and livestock keepers are urged to check the latest rules before moving, selling or breeding animals.

βœ… Check movement requirements for England, Scotland and Wales
βœ… Speak to your vet about vaccination
βœ… Monitor animals closely for signs of disease
βœ… Report any suspected cases immediately β€” bluetongue is notifiable

Vaccination remains the best way to protect individual animals. Please contact us if you would like advice for your herd or flock.

πŸ„πŸ‘ Protect your livestock. Plan ahead. Stay informed.
