I love this post so much, i have to echo it!

"So I just wanted to make a post to clear up something which a lot of lodge/caravan owners get asked !!!

DO YOU DO 1 NIGHT STAYS ??

The answer 99 % of the time will be no , or we actually do, but at a weekend rate, instead of a one night rate of £95 and I’ll explain ‘Why’ !

Quite often, I see owners replying no, including myself. we have said no because:
⭐️The one night stays stop owners renting for the whole weekend, which reduces the rental income
⭐️The renters tend to want to go out and get intoxicated and use it as a party pad for after , inviting people back they have met that night, which often results in breakages / damage
⭐️The heating / lights have often been left on. A gas bottle on Trecco costs £101

People expect a night for under £100 but by the time owners pay for the advertising agent, pay for the gas, pay for the electric, pay £50-£60 for a cleaner, pay the damage that’s occasionally caused, pay the actual monthly ground rent costs which are between £7,000-£10,000 per annum…..they would certainly be at a loss.

The reasons mentioned above are cases that I know some owners have encountered. Obviously, some may have had great experiences with fab guests, but this is just to highlight what some have encountered.

My recommendation would be to try a B&B or a HOTEL where the costs are considerably less and more viable for the owner 🫶🫶"

A little update on our trashed van! I still have one door missing. it takes about 6 months for ABI to supply and fit the door! 😞🥹

Shout out, though, to my cleaner that cleaned over 7 hours and moved doors to provide some privacy in the bedroom.

We are now taking bookings for the rest of the season 23rd June is available.

Tom, I appreciate the work you and Linyz did to turn the caravan around 🥰

I have been renting caravans for 9 years, but days like this make me really sad to be a caravan owner and, more importantly, to rent my caravans out. When people show no respect to other people property

The guests who have done this
damage to my property appeared to be a lovely family, married with a 1 year old. you would think they would be responsible and respect my property. Makes you wonder why they will behave like this in front of a toddler.

it will cost a lot to repair the caravan and make it usable again..lost of guests who are already booked etc. I am really shocked, infact lost for words today 😭😥😞
