A VERY warm day to be installing conservatory roof blinds! 🥵🥵☀️☀️

But was well worth the slog as the blinds look great and we have a very happy customer.

This conservatory gets full sun all day and has become unusable due to heat and glare in this hot summer. The customer picked a blackout cellular fabric which offer a foil lining to give the ultimate protection against the heat!

They now have a usable room which is shaded beautifully 😎

We will be taking a break from the office to take part in a Sports Day to raise money for the amazing St Elizabeth Hospice on the 2nd of July.

We will be taking part in all the classics from the egg & spoon race, tug or war and the three-legged race!

Im sure you will all agree the work St Elizabeth's do everyday to help people during terrible times is just incredible. As a company we are proud to help raise money to help towards all of the services they offer in our community.

As a team, we aren't in peak fitness 🤣🤣 but what we lack in sporting ability we makeup for in enthusiasm and competitiveness!

Our latest awning install really made us think outside the box! 🤯

Our customers wanted an awning to shade their extremely hot patio. As their home is a lodge and made from mainly timber, structurally it couldn't hold the weight and pull out forces of an awning.

As we never shy away from a challenge we decided to lift the customers decking and install custom made brackets into a prepared concrete pad. To make things that little more complicated, the bricks the lodge is bedded on carry on past the home. Meaning our bracket had to also project forward to sit on the bed of the bricks before it could be secured into the ground also missing a waste pipe.

Now the decking is back on and its impossible to even tell all that has gone on underneath! The area looks great and is all ready for the hot summer days just around the corner 🌞🌞.

Happy 13th Anniversary to us!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Today marks our 13th anniversary. Where has that time gone!!

The second picture is little throwback to 2012 when we had just started out. Fresh faced with terrible dress sense but enthusiastic to begin our journey! 😂

What a journey it’s been…..

Ballantines was started very quickly after we were made redundant from our previous jobs. Our first year was filled chasing any job, however small & travelling in and out of London fitting for other companies. We pulled in favours from our friends and families, borrowed cars to get around and took up countless hours of friends spare time while they taught us book keeping!

Our first big job, repairing vertical blinds in an Essex office over a weekend finally allowed us to put a deposit down on our 1st van.
It’s this little beauty in the photo. This is the day we picked her up and we were so proud! ☺️☺️ She is our spare van now but is still going strong! ❤️

Luckily our reputation grew quickly, allowing us to leave the fitting for others behind and focus on purely our customers.

That seems a lifetime ago now but is always nice to take stock and remember how much has changed thanks to the support of our amazing customers, friends, family. THANK YOU! 🫶🏻
