Kardan Travel is a leading coach company based on the Isle of Wight. We operate a full programme of Day Tours and Holidays throughout the year, direct from the Island. If you book one of our holidays, we will arrange a taxi to collect you from your home on the Island to the coach. We specialise in group travel for schools, sports clubs, societies, businesses or just for pleasure. Whatever your nee

ds we can provide a service on the Island, mainland or the continent. We are happy to provide a no obligation quotation for your requirements, whether it is just a short local journey or a complete package including ferry, hotel and places of interest. For groups on the mainland who wish to come to the Island, we are able to come and collect you and bring you to the Island. We will book your ferry and if you wish, take you out while you are here. Kardan Travel have a modern fleet of executive and standard coaches, all fitted with seatbelts and maintained to a very high standard, your safety being our priority. Our executive coaches have club class seats, climate control, adjustable foot rests, seat back tables, toilet and washroom facilities. Our professional drivers are all trained to the highest standard and have all passed the driver’s CPC examination and are CRB checked. They have many years experience of driving throughout Britain and the continent. Our friendly, experienced and knowledgeable office staff are at the end of the phone to help you with bookings, quotations or general enquiries. We are members of CPT, the confederation of Passenger Transport and our holidays are bonded with B*H (Bonded Coach Holidays) for your protection.

Dorset Queen a 1938 vintage motor yacht will depart Poole Quay, before turning West to cruise along the tranquil River Frome to Wareham Quay. We cruise up the picturesque River taking around 1 hr, 15 mins and will allow for just over one hour ashore. You can enjoy a drink or snack in one of the many pubs, go for a stroll, or visit the effigy of Lawrence of Arabia in St Martin’s Church. We re-board Dorset Queen and slowly meander back down the river to Poole Quay with some free time before heading home.

☀ BRAND NEW WEEKEND BREAK FOR EARLY 2026 ☀
BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL TATTOO
Friday 13th February 2026 – 3 Days

Brand new for 2026 we have a wonderful weekend break staying at Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s Country which includes a river cruise and a visit to the Birmingham International Tattoo. A parade like no other, Britain’s biggest indoor tattoo featuring military and other marching bands, pipes & drums, field gun racing, dog racing, standard bearers, dance teams and much more including a spectacular Grand Finale with over 1,000 performers.

Tour Itinerary
Friday –After Departing the island in the morning we head to Welford Park, maybe known to some as the home of the Great British Bake Off but come late wintertime, you will see one of the finest snowdrop collections in the UK. The dainty droplets of snowdrops thrive amongst the 5-acre beech wood, enchanting riverbanks of the River Lambourn and the glorious gardens at Welford Park. Wrap up warm and enjoy a walk around the grounds of the picture-perfect Queen Anne style house then head to the tea tent for a warming drink. We then continue to Stratford-upon-Avon to the 4-star Crowne Plaza hotel where we enjoy a welcome cup of tea/coffee while our luggage is taken to our room.

Saturday – Stratford-upon-Avon & Cruise
We begin our day with a relaxing 45-minute river cruise with an engaging guide who will bring Shakespeare’s Stratford to life. We enjoy a cup of tea and biscuits as we drift along the Avon. After disembarking, we have the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy this fabulous medieval market town and its history at the home of Shakespeare’s Birth.

Sunday- Birmingham International Tattoo.
After a leisurely breakfast we depart Stratford-upon-Avon and head to Birmingham for the highlight of our tour the matinee performance of the Birmingham International Tattoo. Itinerary
Friday - We leave the island and head north to Manchester arriving late afternoon. A welcome drink awaits you while your luggage is taken to your rooms.

Saturday- Manchester Tour
This morning we meet our guide for our 2-hour step-on tour of Manchester. Our tour will unveil a host of hidden gems as we learn about some of the 'firsts' the city has produced in its long and illustrious history. We see the Bridgewater Canal, uncover the story of the world's first passenger railway, experience Sackville Park and the story of Alan Turing and walk in the footsteps of LS Lowry. Having built up a thirst, we relax with a drink in one of the many vibrant pubs, with time to reflect on what we have seen. We spend the rest of the day at leisure in Manchester.

Sunday - Coronation Street Experience
This morning, we head to the ITV Coronation Street Experience where we have a behind-the-scenes tour of Manchester's most famous street. There's more to see on the cobbles than ever before! Spot the street's most recognisable places and experience the famous northern cheer as we explore the iconic outdoor set, props and costumes, including the newly unveiled two-storey Weatherfield Precinct set. At the brand-new purpose-built Visitor's Centre, we have access to the Coronation Street Exhibition with meticulously crafted replica sets of iconic landmarks like Roy's Rolls and the legendary Rovers Return. It's complete with official Coronation Street store, café and cinema space, offering a nostalgic look back at 60 years of Corrie history. The afternoon/evening is at leisure in Manchester.

Monday- After breakfast we head south for our journey home arriving back on the Island early evening.

Our return steam train ride begins in Toddington in the heart of the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, taking in the full length of the line (Including Broadway). Our journey takes us through the beautiful Cotswolds and Vale of Evesham with the Malvern Hills in the distance. We pass picturesque villages and views of Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds. At Toddington there will be time to explore the station and view the engine sheds. You may choose to bring a packed lunch with you to eat on the train.

We first stop in Ross-on-Wye for lunch and sightseeing before taking a relaxing scenic drive through the Wye Valley which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is one of the most dramatic and scenic landscapes in Britain. Then enjoy a cream tea at Abbey Mill, Tintern. It has a recently renovated turning Old Water Wheel, and a waterfall.
