Fancy a couple of weeks in stunning Paxos-I know I do.....!
Bastas complex is located only 5 minutes from the gorgeous harbour of Lakka which has more than a dozen restaurants, tavernas and plenty of bars. This is not tacky Greece, this is relaxing, beautiful Greece at its best. Paxos is only 7 miles x 3 miles, great walking through the local olive groves, local bus service, wonderful clear turquoise seas, scuba diving, paddle boarding....sound good!
Bastas is a family run hotel/apartment complex, not luxurious, but clean, with a great size pool.
To get to Paxos, you fly to Corfu, hydrofoil/ferry to Paxos and then a short transfer to the hotel. Well worth the effort...

Still thinking about a safari.....what about adding a night or 2 in the 'dream cruiser' on your Namibia/Botswana safari!!
I was lucky enough to drive from South Africa to Botswana and Zimbabwe in one of these, perhaps not quite as luxurious as the dream cruiser, it was a while ago but was still amazing!

Fancy a villa but don't want to drive.....
Take a look at this lovely villa, walking distance to the beach and harbour with lots of lovely restaurants.

Villa Loukas-Sivota, Greece ( map of where Sivota is in the photos, as a couple of people have asked me)
Situated on the edge of Sivota village, very close to the peaceful bay of Karvouno, Villa Loukas is one of a pair of innovative contemporary villas just 150m from a sandy beach. The house is light and bright, with fully retractable glass doors that open onto the terrace and a generously-sized private pool. All floors have a balcony or access to terraces, and with an additional living area and kitchenette on the lower floor, this villa is an excellent choice for a couple or a family with older children, who might also enjoy the freedom of being able to wander down to the beach bar and restaurant close by.

This is the perfect location for a lazy holiday for those who don’t wish to drive: just a 10 minute stroll into Sivota, with its pretty harbour and numerous tavernas, cafés and bars whilst groceries can be delivered from the local supermarket. Some excellent excursions can be taken from a tour of the ancient world heritage sights in Albania to a private yacht for the day around Paxos and Anti Paxos.
