There is a VERY HIGH TO EXTREME RISK of hill fire - a Scottish Fire Service warning in place until Monday 19 May.

Please extreme take care not to start a fire. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has issued a "no flames" warning.

As well as dialling 999, please report any hill fire to Knoydart Forest Trust and/or the relevant landowner.

Firebeaters are in the pier shelter.

Due to the current dry weather and the time of year there is a VERY HIGH RISK of hill fire - warnings are in place for the area for the next few days.

Please extreme take care not to a start fire. If you have guests please pass on this information to them.

For anyone soon making the visit to Knoydart please be aware that harvesting of sections of woodland around Inverie is currently in operation.

Please note that in the interests of safety that some of the paths in the woods are temporarily closed while harvesting operations are underway.

There is also signage in the woods.

Lots on this week starting with the Pub Quiz at 7pm tomorrow, hosted by Sammy. Teams of up to five ~ Β£2 entry per person ~ prize for the winners.

Wednesday's craft night from 5pm ~ bring along whatever you're working on, or just pop in to say hello and have a blether.

Weekend music ~ we're looking forward to welcoming The Disclaimers back on their annual Knoydart trip, and they'll be playing tunes on Fri & Sat evening after dinnertime. All welcome to join in or listen.
