Blaenllain Royal Jubilee

🐴 Blaenllain Royal Grace 🐴

Local show, equestrian Box
Celaeron Equestrian centre.

Well, what more can I say, such an old head on young shoulders, she was so sensible.
Lottie hasn't been shown since she was a foal, purely to others taking priority. To be fair to her, she was such a good girl, she went to keep another starter company, and hold his hoof.
This was also the first time Tina Jones had shown in years, lovely to see her back in the ring.

🐴 Wentworth Night Drifter 🐴
Owned by Lorraine Peach.

What an absolute star, took him to his first outing, a lovely welcoming local show, he really was a good lad.
Couple of classes, and home again.
Petrina Evans-Jones handled him beautifully 😊

🐴 Blaenllain Doodles Beaujolais (sweet pea/pi,,pot) 2019 🐴
Marbon Beaujolais x Blaenllain Doodleberry,
Another homebred girl who I wish I'd kept. Petrina would have loved her.
The right horse Just the wrong timing.

My absolute dream type of mare (for my younger me, I'm to old & broken now 🥴😁)
She was about 15.2 and a really sensitive, forward, pocket rocket with beautiful movement and powerful jump and a decent amount of blood in her.

I sold her unseen as a 3yo to a supposedly competent person who was going to event her! I met them at a local competition and off she went.
Anyway, they sold her, the someone's neighbour saw her, she told her friend who had a horse as a kid, you know how it goes.
The long story, short was, the field companion had died, sweet pea was rather underfed and still in field with dead horse. Thankfully someone delt with it and she ended up with a lovely girl, who tracked me down and updated me . I bought sweet pea back, and met the girl in Welshpool with her .

Sweetpea came home, and recovered.
With my kids still so young and myself still recovering from being dumped on my head by a clinets pony, ending up with numerous broken bones and head injury, I had to be realistic and cut down
So had to eventually had to sell her again
This time she went to a lovely home, and is still owned by the girl as far as I know. (I think she loaned her out to have a foal) .
She was a really special mare and will always have a big place in my heart as was out of my foundation mare, Doodle.

🐴 Blaenllain Doodleba Supreme, Bugsy 🐴
(sold probably about 8/9 years ago)

We bred this mare, and produced her as to come out as a 4yo, Carwyn Turner and I had great enjoyment competing her, doing a bit of everything with her.
Due a fall I had off another pony, and limited to what I could do, I put her out on loan.
That person, would have been the one she would have chosen, she really did bond with him.
Sadly, their circumstances changed and she came home.
We continued to produce her, with Caz doing most of the riding as I was coaching more and more, so made sense for Caz to ride in session I was coaching. She was great, a little pocket rocket

Due to where we live being miles from anywhere, we took her to a performance sales in Malvern.
She went to a competition home to be produced as a BS teams pony.
Their situation changed and she was sold again, this time to an adult to enjoy low levels competition, which I think she's probably still with her.

We have her full sister Blaenllain DBs Diversity (Nessy), who's Floyd and Lottie dam.
She also has a full brothers Blaenllain DBs Dark Secret and Blaenllain DBs Mister Maker

A much happier Deeks from last week, a lot more accepting and forward. And wow, can this lad jump!
🦘🦘
Jumping in a much more open frame than he was previously able to
Let's just say, he's making the most of being able to use his head and neck where he wants to, he's resembling a 🦒, 💯 for effort perfection will come later.

Now just to find a jumping saddle, the 2 saddles he came with, he's now wider than they are 🥴, and the one Petrina is jumping him in is a 16.5 GP which ain't helping either of them
to be fair to her, there ain't much space for ride short enough, 🪂 maybe needed 😁

Saddle suggestions welcome please.

A quick up date on the wonderful Deeks, he was a rather unsettled Deeks, earlier last week, that's fine, we all have a off days. A few moments where you're not really sure what's coming next 🥴😁, Petrina just quietly encouraging him forward whilst trying to predict his plans and keeping him between her and the floor! Lots of praise and time, he's a really sweet horse, Just trying to find his way.

🐴 Glansoden Donelladdu🐴
This was probably about 11 years ago.
I put a wanted add up for a sensible PC all rounder for a young rider I was coaching.
And I ended up a very minamly handled sec D with a feisty attitude and strong mind of her own,🙈🥴 , but she was very beautiful and loved her movement and quality.

We went to view her, her owner could just about touch her in the stable, eventually! We just got the mare glair, teeth, bum and leg lift, the owner assured us she really liked us! Not sure what she did to people she wasn't keen on.

She was ushered out to the field and off she went, and wow, could she move, a real ground covering stride and from the shoulder. Not a chance of catching her again to put her back in stable or be hearded back that direction so she stayed in the field 🙈😁
The deal was done, and she was our next project.

They delivered her to us and her work started.

A typical mare, with her own mind, always ask a mare, she came on a treat. She also spent some time with Nicky Bond and John Edwards who were a big part of her production . Under saddle she spent mostly hacking as that's what we doing mostly at the time. Carwyn Turner (Caz) also showed her in hand, showing cobs in hand ain't overly what we do, but non the less, she held her own and all a good education
At the time, the Welsh Pony and Cob society would visit collages, and put on education days, they would supply and talk about the Sec A, B, C, D and partbred.
Mattie was one of 3 ponies that our yard supplied to visit a Herefordshire collage, handled by Marina Boyes

Sadly needs must and I had to sell her before fulfilling my hopes with her.
Would love to have done M& M workers with her, but wasn't to be.

I took her to Builth sales, where John rode her through the ring, I believe she sold to a teenage girl in Scotland.

🐴 Staylittle Queen Bee, (Googly eyes 👀) 🐴
This lovely young mare joined us, back when my kids were young.

She had previously been professionally started, and had shown as a lead rein pony.

She joined us after having some time off.

We brought her back into work, did a lot of hacking, hill work, bridle paths, just having kid fun, building her top line and getting her to stretch over her back. Really sweet pony, quite spicy and forward, really nice type for a "withit" child.

We took her to pony club, did endurance, and jumped her.
She was a real sweetie and plenty of scope.

We sold her to a lovely family over the bridge, for the young girl to do pony club and a bit of everything.

They didn't come and view her, just purely on the strength of her competition record, photo's and videos and phone calls

We took her to meet the transporter, met them in a service station, in the most horrendous rain storm.
Off one lorry and onto another, perfect googly eyes.

Have had updates since then, they were thrilled with her, and she's everything they wanted, think she's still with them.
