Landscape painting, en plein air, in an idyllic rural location, in the heart of Leicestershire, with artist Binny Mathews .artist shortlisted for Sky Portrait Artist of The Year 2022.

Our 3 day landscape painting masterclass will guide you into
developing your own ‘handwriting’ in paint.

The course is not prescriptive, instead it provides a space to explore different
ways of working. We investigate the emotional and physical use of colour, mark making, measuring, line, tone, chroma strength and composition. Binny gives demonstrations to suggest
differing approaches throughout the three days.

The course starts with discussion, each morning before undertaking the main painting. Students are invited to bring in their own work, in digital format, to show to Binny during their one-to-one sessions. Binny then tailors the tuition to each individual and their needs.
She teaches in oil but is happy to support you in using your preferred
medium. This is an incredible opportunity to gain knowledge from a
celebrated practicing artist. We have a maximum of 10 students, a
small group allows for more individual, focused attention. Please bring your own materials, a list will be sent to you at the time of booking.

We are delighted to be hosting this class with at Cowslip Meadows.

You will be walking through the gorgeous surrounding area of Cowslip meadows, taking the time to walk and talk, gathering foliage and flowers, and arranging them in jam jars and then taught to draw them with in inks on paper. All abilities welcome. At the end of the session you will have a piece ready to frame and take home.

If you fancy a lovely restorative class, in gorgeous surroundings, learning something new, this class is for you.

Includes lovely refreshments. All equipment supplied.
