Join us for spine-tingling walks through mediaeval streets, hear chilling tales of long-lost souls, and eerie echoes of an ancient town’s darkest legends. Uncover ghostly secrets and historic tales that linger in the shadows of Cornwall's ancient capital of Launceston. Every Thursday evening in Summer, our expert guide will lead you on a spine-ch

illing journey through the town’s narrow lanes, ancient buildings, and historic hotspots. Along the way, you’ll hear tales of restless spirits, eerie encounters, and forgotten folklore, all rooted in Launceston’s rich, haunting, adn sometimes gruesome past. Meet at The Bell Inn, 1 Tower St, PL15 8BQ, every Thursday at 6pm in Summer.

£10 per person, cash only (while we work on our online ticketing page). Whether you're a history lover, thrill-seeker, or just curious about the stories that still echo through the streets, this walking tour of Launceston's historic town centre offers a fun and fascinating trip out. Can we ask our wonderful for a favour?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help us get the word out there 🙏

Locals know about us but we also want to attract tourists to Launceston, so they can spend some time here, spend some money in our wonderful shops, pubs and restaurants, and help everyone profit from the unique proposition we have as the historic and Haunted Capital of Cornwall.

I'm having the devil's own time getting us onto Google Maps (any help welcomed) but here's our new Tripadvisor page. Please take a moment to review and also here on Facebook.

I'll add everyone's name who leaves us a decent review on both (just copy & paste, right?) into a prize draw. One entry for each review. On Thursday 18th June, we’ve got a special midsummer’s ghost walk planned for The Haunted Capital of Cornwall.

An hours stroll around town, a little dowsing for spirits in one or two haunted locations, and free wine and nibbles with ghost stories at Black Cat Books Ltd afterwards.

It's another hot day today and Tavistock was looking lovely. Lots of treasures for sale in the pannier market (we bought French soaps and various antique trinkets) and also Jill's antique shop on Brook Street (a Chinese vase). Bacon and snaggers from Palmers, too.

From Friday 19th June at 8pm (meeting at Bedford Square) there'll be something else to do here in town...Join us for a ghost walk around hearing spooky true stories, folk tales and bits and pieces of local history.

Finishing with a drink (optional) in the haunted The Tavistock - Hotel & Inn for ghost stories over a glass of beer, wine or a coffee.
