🚨KYRGYZSTAN YURT SKIING

Searching for a remote ski adventure with incredible powder? Yurt-based ski touring in Kyrgyzstan is the answer.

👀This region is famous for its unique ‘bottomless’ powder snow pack. The trip begins with a couple of hotel-based warm up days, before travelling into a remote Yurt Camp and exploring the Tien Shan mountains on ski. Kyrgyzstan is an exceptionally mountainous country, with peaks up to 7,000m and the Kyrgyz people are incredibly warm and welcoming.

❓This is a remote trip, with eight days of skiing for fit and experienced ski tourers, who already have several weeks’ touring experience and are good standard powder skiers. Wide ski rental is available for this trip.

🚨MONT THABOR SKI TOUR

A brilliant off-the-radar touring region and a great first hut-to-hut trip.

👀 This is an excellent six-day tour around Mont Thabor. The area is little visited by ski tourers from outside France, so the huts in the region are small and friendly with a great atmosphere. The terrain offers plenty of flexibility and we also plan to make a ski ascent of Mont Thabor itself: the highest peak in the range.

❓This is an intermediate-level trip, and you need some previous ski-touring experience. The week includes 5-7 hour days and you can expect to be skinning for 3-4 hours a day.

🚨WESTERN OBERLAND 3-DAY SKI TOUR

An ideal first alpine hut-to-hut tour in a legendary Swiss ski touring region.

👀 We base ourselves in the Lammeren Hut. It's an amazing spot, just a couple of hours skin from the Gemmi Pass cablecar station, complete with full restaurant service, a great bar and hot showers. The hut is situated in a high mountain cirque surrounded by a number of classic ski-touring objectives.

Each day we'll skin out from the hut and climb one of the surrounding peaks, incorporating skills training sessions along the way, including skinning skills, uphill kick turns, transceiver training and avalanche safety and avoidance. You'll also get tips and coaching to improve your off-piste skiing.

❓ This is an introductory-level trip. You need to be a regular off-piste skier, but you don’t need previous ski touring experience. Free safety equipment rental is included.

👀Designed for off-piste skiers and novice tourers, this is a perfect first ski-touring holiday, exploring the Oisans region and mountains surrounding Briancon.

❓ This is an extremely reliable touring region, with good quality skiing possible in just about all conditions. Based in the cosy Hotel Edelweiss in La Grave, we’ll ski well away from the big resorts and cover all the essential ski-touring skills including skinning and avalanche safety, as well as tips and tricks to improve your speed and efficiency. The Haute Route is a world-famous high-mountain journey. Incredible scenery, long ski descents, and challenging climbs make this a real bucket-list trip.

👀Our specialist ski touring guides know the route intimately and our 7-day program has an extra ‘weather day’ built in, to increase your chances of reaching Zermatt.

❓The Haute Route has become significantly harder in recent years. This is now an advanced-level trip. You need several weeks ski touring experience, preferably including hut-to-hut tours, as well as mountaineering experience using ice axes and crampons on steep terrain before you book on the trip.

Join us for early-season ski touring in the Tyrol, Austria

👀This is one of the best locations in the Alps for accessing a wide variety of ski tours and major resorts within a short daily drive. Regular flights, easy transfers, varied touring and the option of high-altitude glacier skiing all make for a reliable trip. Using the mountain village of Matrei am Brenner as a central base, we’ll have quick access to hundreds of great day tours across the region, as well as several high-altitude glacier resorts nearby, which provide snow-sure conditions throughout the winter.

❓This is an intermediate- level trip. You must be able to handle all off-piste conditions whilst carrying a day-touring pack. The trip includes 5-6 hour days with typically 700-1,000m of ascent a day.
