How amazing is this and how lucky are we to have won new windows and a new front door with Hipco Yorkshire Windows & Doors

When my Husband told me we had won a competition he had entered on Facebook I replied "yes dear of course we have"....but we actually had!!

We had a lovely morning with the Hipco Yorkshire Windows & Doors team who came personally to our home to present us with our cheque to pay for our new windows and doors.

We now have a meeting with them in their lovely new showroom in Garforth to pick what we want!!

I can't wait to see the finished product.

I'm back in the office this week after a fabulous holiday.

They go too quickly don't they??.😩

I am now working on replying to all your lovely messages and emails so if you are waiting a response I will get back to you as quickly as I possibly can.

So what's on my desk this week as new enquiries....
✈️Disneyland Paris
✈️A Mum & Daughter cheeky trip away at the end of summer
✈️A Japan multi trip tour including the Bullet train
✈️Australia for October
✈️A Christmas Markets trip for December.
✈️A last minute Cruise around the Mediterranean.

Also thrown in the usual mix of being a busy travel agent.....

✔️I will be working on getting tickets out to customers travelling in the coming weeks.

✔️Reconfirming Airport Assistance.

✔️Speaking to customers regarding schedule flight changes that have landed.

✔️Doing the school run and pe***ng out my washing

All in a day's work 😘.

Our E gate experience departing Palma Airport

Seamless and quick but I do feel it depends on the time you arrive and how many flights have arrived at the same time.

Palma is a busy Airport in general with lots of flights arriving and departing all the time.

Its only on arrival to an airport within the Shengan area that you will complete digital registration and as per the EES guidelines. You are not required to do this on exit.

If you enter the Shengan area more than once ie: take multiple trips you don't need to register again but you will be required to present your passport at the digital screen to proceed to the E gate area.

As its only been in force since April 2026 majority of delays are due to teething problems with the new machines and people just getting to grips on what they need to do. Be patient. No one enjoys queuing but it will now always be part of your travelling journey.

‼️Our EES experience at Palma Airport‼️

Our holiday has now come to an end 😭and this was our Airport experience from check in right through to waiting to board the plane.

I did sneak a couple of photos of the E Gates to show you what it was like for us this morning....I will post them next.

Our last full day today so just a little update and to show you some of the fabulous private pool rooms and also the quieter Adult only pool at the Zafiro Mallorca.

We will definitely be sad to leave tomorrow we've had an amazing time.

I will also update you on our experience through Palma Airport tomorrow as there are lots of media stories being posted on how bad it has been.

When we arrived we were through within 30 minutes so no issues for us but as airports become busier you can expect longer wait times.

For now it's back to my sunlounger for a few more hours before our last tea out of the holiday.

This morning I was invited to visit the beautiful Adult Only Hotel Zafiro Alzinar Mar in C'an Picafort.

A smaller boutique style hotel with beautiful grounds and a spacious swimming pool.

It underwent a full refurbishment last year and it didn't disappoint.

With just 136 rooms some featuring pool view or you can upgrade to the plunge pool suite or a private pool room.

You can dine on either Bed & Breakfast, Half Board or All Inclusive with the choice of a buffet restaurant or the A la Carte restaurant. Al fresco dining is also available.

1 pool bar with swim up seating and 1 bar inside the hotel.

The rooms are centred around the large pool area with beautifully manicured lawns and modern outdoor seating.

A full gym and health and spa activities are also available for use.

Situated centrally within the resort and a 10 minute walk to the seafront and beach

Highly recommended for some adult only chill time.

As part of my job I love researching and experiencing for myself the hotels I have booked for my customers for many years.

Building trusting relationships with suppliers is crucial when we either need help or advice....we can go directly to our own contacts.

I was privileged to be allowed a hotel site inspection at the Zafiro C'an Picafort this morning which is the hotel next door to our hotel the Zafiro Mallorca.

My findings were that although the basic layout is similar, the grounds are much bigger with fabulous manicured lawns, more options of swim up, private pool and private terrace with pool rooms plus they've refurbished all their rooms(except the penthouse suites) and they offer more options in terms of A la Carte dining.

They've made a few changes recently in that their adult only pool has been changed to a relaxed family pool if you need a quieter area and they've removed their garden terrace rooms replacing them with private pool rooms.

You can book on either....
Room only
Bed & Breakfast
Half Board plus
Or
All inclusive.

You can chose the board basis that suits you best.

They have have revamped their mini club hut, even installing air con for high season summer heat, they've installed mini golf, have bungee trampolines and a huge sports court for football or tennis.

Comparing the two I would say the Zafiro Mallorca is smaller and more compact but offers just as many family facilities(except the bungee trampoline) and the quality is very good. The Zafiro C'an Picafort is a much bigger complex with more facilties and room options to chose from.

Im glad I can now differentiate between the two hotels and can recommend either hotel that best suits your needs and budget.
