A Brit in love with Finland Fell in love with Finland and it's people, trying to learn the language and planning multiple trips! Since then, I've thought of nowhere else.

I had the fortune to travel to and get married in Äkäslompolo, Finland in January 2016. I've started this page to share the things I take interest in about Finland and the Finnish people with whom I feel a certain affinity. If you're heading to Lapland, or dreaming of it, or just curious, you cannot go wrong with the official Finnish Meteorological Institute app. Met Office, BBC, AccuWeather, Apple weather, they aren't in Finland - and it's an environment where weather changes quickly.
