It has been a very Disney‑themed morning at my desk today ✨

I am currently working on a few magical trips to Walt Disney World in Florida for August, plus several Disneyland Paris breaks: one family going in June, another in August, and another looking at a festive visit at Christmas.

For Florida, I have been looking at dining options, water parks and all the little extras that can make a Disney holiday feel really special.
For Disneyland Paris, I am helping families choose the best way to get there for them, whether that is flying, taking the Eurostar or driving.

Disney has been close to my heart since I first visited as a child back in 1989 at Disneyland California (yes, that is little me in the photos with Mickey and Tigger!), I've since visited Walt Disney World Florida a few times as an adult both through my previous career and with my young family. We're also heading back there again this August too! It is so much fun to help families create their own Disney memories 💗

A recent favourite to plan: a wedding anniversary trip to Morocco for my lovely client Kerry and her family.

Together we have created something a little different to the usual family holiday, combining a characterful riad stay in Marrakech with time in the Atlas Mountains for gentle adventure and incredible scenery. It has been such a collaborative process, shaping the trip around exactly how they want to celebrate.

Feeling very proud to have been featured in TTG Luxury, a leading travel industry magazine, for a little story about going the extra mile for a cruise client.

If you saw my earlier post, you will know I recently helped another Travel Counsellor by visiting one of her clients at home to sort out a tricky cruise payment. It was a small act of support on my part, but it clearly meant a lot to them, and somehow it has ended up in print too!

I recently helped a lovely client who used to be a very confident solo traveller but had not been away for quite a few years. Life happened, confidence dipped and the idea of travelling alone started to feel a bit daunting.

We had an honest chat about where she was dreaming of, what was holding her back and what she would need to feel safe and supported. In the end, we chose a package with one of my trusted partners: the perfect balance of security in a group, a knowledgeable tour manager and the freedom to explore somewhere truly beautiful in her own way.

Sometimes, being a Travel Counsellor is about far more than just booking a holiday.

On Monday, I had a call out of the blue from another TC who was covering a colleague’s business while she was away. One of her clients was struggling to make a large cruise payment online, and as I lived nearby, I popped round to their house to help them get it all sorted.

Whilst I was there and the client was on the phone to her bank, I let the estate agent in for their viewing, helped move them into another room. Then as we were hunting for the Wi‑Fi password, we even found the missing puzzle piece the client had been searching for! A small thing, but it absolutely made her day.

The TC I was supporting shared the story with head office, and it even got a little mention on our internal weekly live TV programme, which was such a lovely surprise. For me though, it just sums up what I love about this job: being there when clients need a real person to step in and help.
