Disneyland Paris fans… exciting news! 🎉

Bookings are now open for arrivals from 1 April 2027, with brand‑new meal plans available too. Whether you are thinking about a first visit or a return trip, this is a great time to start planning.

My clients sent me this photo of their trip over the August bank holiday (that is the beautiful Disneyland Paris Hotel behind them!) and it has really reminded me how Disney isn't just for little ones! My Disney 2026 trip blog is finally live!

In August I spent 11 nights at Walt Disney World staying on site, juggling park days, pool days and a dance show with our fantastic dance school at Hollywood Studios! In the blog I share how I structured it, what worked well and what I would tweak next time!

Two extra things I did not manage to squeeze into the blog but are really worth knowing:

Fingerprint entry with young children: on your first park day, set up the fingerprint ID on the gate using your own finger, not your child’s. Then each day you can tap their Magic card and use your finger to match it, so they stay happily in the buggy instead of being hauled out at every entrance.

You will not do everything in one trip: we did 11 nights and still did not get to Universal, the beach, Kennedy Space Center or half the other Orlando attractions. You could easily do multiple two‑week trips and still have more to see. Next time, I might even focus just on Universal or other non‑Disney experiences.

Back at my desk after 11 nights in Orlando… and slowly emerging from the jet lag and mountain of laundry!

Thank you for sticking with all the Florida content in my Stories over the last couple of weeks – I know it has been a lot of Disney on your feeds!! I will be putting everything into a blog with tips and thoughts from our trip, and will share that once the kids are back at school and I have a quiet moment to write it up!

A few weeks ago I was chatting to some clients who are heading to Orlando in October and were really keen to do something outside of the theme parks bubble whilst they are there. I suggested the as I still remember my visit back when I was 8yrs old! It then got me thinking about rocket launches from .....the tricky thing is that launches can be postponed or cancelled at very short notice, so it is not something I would ever plan a whole holiday around.

But… because we are off to tomorrow, I thought I would just check if anything was scheduled whilst we are there and, excitingly, there are currently two rocket launches listed in August! On 10th August at 10.49am & 15th August at 21.12pm. These are commercial launches sending satellites into space for things like internet and communications.

If the timings and weather behave, you can sometimes see the rockets and trail in the sky from the Visit Orlando area, including Walt Disney World, without even needing to get close to City of Cape Canaveral- Government There are also dedicated viewing options if you want to go over to the coast, but I love that you can occasionally catch a glimpse just from where you are staying.

It is a lovely example of the kind of little extras I look into for my clients: not just the flights and hotel, but unique experiences that might be happening whilst they are there.

Just booked not one but two .olsencruiselines cruises for a lovely client, and they are both such interesting itineraries!

First up, an extraordinary Kiel Canal & Baltic sailing from Rosyth in June 2027 on Balmoral. Because this is a smaller ship, she is able to sail through the Kiel Canal itself, including the canal locks and Brunsbüttel dock, which is a really special experience.

Along the way she will visit:
Gdansk, Poland
Ventspils & Riga, Latvia
Saaremaa & Tallinn, Estonia
…before returning to Scotland. A brilliant way to explore the Baltic without flying.

Then in December 2027, a fly‑cruise Christmas escape on Balmoral again, flying from Manchester to Málaga to join the ship and visiting:
Gibraltar
Funchal, Madeira
La Palma
Tenerife
Gran Canaria
…before heading back to Málaga and flying home. A really lovely mix of winter sun, festive atmosphere and gorgeous Atlantic islands.

One of my favourite bits of this job is when clients send me photos from their Holidays!

These lovely pics are from my client who has just come back from a Travel Counsellors package I put together for her family; direct flights, a private villa stay in Carvoeiro and private transfers.

They spent their days exploring sea caves by boat, including one that looked like a heart ❤️ lazing in the pool on inflatables and wandering down to the beach.

On their last day with a late flight home after checking out of the villa at 10am they headed to a pool bar to relax and squeeze every last bit of fun out of their trip, rather than clock watching at the airport.
