A walk to do while staying at South View Cottage

🏞️ This 8¼-mile circular walk explores some of the finest scenery in Upper Swaledale. Starting in Muker, the route climbs the slopes of Kisdon before heading towards Keld, with traditional stone barns, dry stone walls and wide views across the valley along the way.

💦 Waterfalls are a real feature of this route, including East Gill, Currack Force and Wain Wath Force, with an optional detour to Kisdon Force. The return follows the Pennine Way through Rukin Wood, continues beside the River Swale and finishes across Muker’s distinctive stone-flagged hay meadows.
