Always lovely to receive flowers from a happy client ! I stepped in to help rebook flights and hotels when their outbound flight was delayed by over 4 hours meaning they missed their flight connection. I even secured them compensation from the airline. A day trip to Northern Ireland is possible! First flight out / last flight home.
We picked up a hire car and drove via The Dark Hedges to the Spectacular Giants Causeway- did a coastal walk to explore with a picnic then drove into Belfast to see the Titanic museum , sobering but such an amazing place, it’s a big part of Belfast’s history.

It is possible to do a day trip to Northern Ireland - I know as this is the second time I’ve done it!
First flight out of the day / last flight home !
We picked up a car and drove to the Giants Causeway- did an amazing coastal walk.
Then drove to the Titanic museum which is so interesting and excellently curated. A sobering experience but so worth it as it’s such a big part of Belfasts history.

They took in a World Cup game Belgium V USA in Seattle then managed to fit in a Baseball match with the Mariners beating the Toronto Blue Jays. As it was July 4th Fireworks 🎆 and hotdogs on parachutes 🪂 included free of charge! Only in America!🇺🇸

The last trip on our Southern African adventure was Johannesburg and specifically the township of Soweto.
Johannesburg is a city of great contrasts . Soweto is a community that has faced immense hardship but is rich in history, resilience and spirit.

Our visit was guided by local residents who shared their own stories, giving us a deeper understanding of Soweto's past and present. We spent time at the Apartheid Museum, learned about Hector Pieterson and the courage of those who fought for freedom, visited Nelson Mandela's former home and the Regina Mundi chruch.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was being welcomed into the township by a local resident, meeting families and spending time with the children at a kindergarten. We were grateful to leave behind some school supplies and a small donation. We received smiles in return and it was funny teaching the children the peace sign, with varying degrees of success!

Travel is at its best when it builds connections, broadens perspectives and reminds us of our shared humanity. Soweto will stay with us for a long time.

Our family holiday in Africa continued in Botswana and Namibia on the Chobe river aboard the Chobe Princess houseboat.

There is something magical about gliding down the river through wildlife rich waters that slows down time.
Elephants gather on the banks, hippos surface nearby, birds fill the sky and nature quietly works its way into your soul…This is safari at its most peaceful.

Visits to a local Namibian village add a meaningful cultural dimension and left us with memories to treasure.

Anantara Stanley & Livingstone hotel located 20 mins south of Victoria Falls town.
Perfect for relaxation and peace and quiet. Located in the Zambezi National park you can view monkeys, giraffe, impala and occasional big cats right from your balcony.
We did a game drive and found a Black Rhino 🦏, impala, giraffe 🦒 and a honey badger 🦡. Although they do have big cats, elephant, wild dogs and hippos here.
A perfect stay if you’re short of time and want a quick safari after seeing Vic Falls.
The food and service here were incredible! 🇿🇼
