Mexico City 3. Most museums here close on Mondays. Thankfully that wasn’t the case at the (Museum of Old Toys) or for the Diego Rivera bonanza at the . Also had a mooch around the historic centre including lunch at the very old and rather beautiful Cafe Tacuba.

Today ODEON Cinemas have confirmed that the Odeon Camden Town on Parkway will close on 24 February.

I have now scheduled my Camden Town's Lost Cinemas walking tour, which usually includes a brief visit inside the cinema, for Friday 6 and Sunday 22 February. So if you'd like one last look at the former Gaumont Regent's Park I'd love to see you on one of those dates.

Took the day off work on Monday to walk the next stretch of the Thames/Coast path - Dartford to Gravesend.

We started walking on the train platform where Mick met Keef when they were both teenagers, went under the M25 at the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, past many warehouses and works past and present (the statue is the World War I memorial outside the former Bevans cement works) before finishing with a pint near Gravesend Pier.

I felt like I was channeling Paul Talling on my walk from Woolwich to Dartford yesterday along the Thames/Coast path. We spotted an incredible 70 abandoned shopping trolleys (and a couple of mattresses for good measure FAO ).

Last month I had a really fun evening talking about Hackney's former Savoy Cinema (now the music and arts venue EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) at Amir Dotan's wonderful Stoke Newington History talks.

The talk was inspired by a box of papers from the 1960s I discovered in the Cinema Theatre Association's archives last year that included such minutiae as payslips, inter-office memos and confectionary order forms - a real time capsule!
