I’ve been absent from this page a lot. I’ve found it tough to load it up. Too Tough to keep it going while I be struggling. Again having to put my life on hold while I try and keep it.
However it is never dark for long and I can feel the dawn starting to break through.
6 months and close to the end of treatment for my Lymphoma blood cancer that relapsed. I am starting to look ahead. It’s a very heavy and complex thing returning back to “normal” luckily I have been through it before. I remember it shocked and affected me deeply last time. Mentally it’s tough. But we get through it.

I look forward to seeing and sharing the wind and waves with you all soon. Only love. 💙 🩵 🌊

Beyond excited to be at sea. Dock rot has been taking hold!
You Couldn’t get a better crew. all experienced, talented, patient and positive people and also we’re best buds! We started our first sailing jobs at medsailors together, many moons ago. It’s been amazing to see how great they have gotten, and being there at the start for them is something I always hold very dear to me!

It takes courage to leave home alone. To search for something you know is out there for you, but to be unsure of where to go. I found that’s the beauty of it. Seeing where putting one foot in front of the other day by day takes you. We all shared that feeling in our hearts. And each of the steps we have taken has brought us,

Splice splice baby… did you know, knots decrease rope load strength anywherefrom 40-65%?? I didn’t… 🫥 until my efficient deckhand course. My third eye has been opened with rope. Instead of glazing over what’s in my hand Now I look at them closer. How they are laid. What material, what weave. After learning wire splicing and rope splicing I’ve set a target of making improvements to the boat especially using Dyneema. Under the tutelage of Rubrio of RaS and Jai my EDH instructor
I’ve got the building blocks to keep honing my splicing skills. Please hold me accountable and ask me what I’ve done… 👁️

Heading home Sunday. Few days in my underpants. A Pepis pizza and a charcoal kebab. Need 3 days of massages over a 7 day period. Need to see the Doc with his tapping foot about the Big C, hopefully all good 👍 🙏
