I heard you don’t need to be a travel agent to sell travel… and it shows when someone actually needs help.
Let’s be honest about what’s really being sold right now.
Travel isn’t being presented as a profession anymore.
It’s being packaged as a “side hustle.”
A sign-up link. A suitcase emoji. A few Canva templates. And a promise that you can “earn from anywhere” selling holidays you’ve never actually had to manage 🙄
▪️No mention of supplier systems.
▪️No mention of protection.
▪️No mention of rebooking disrupted itineraries while clients are stranded
Because that wouldn’t fit the marketing narrative.
But travel isn’t content. It’s responsibility.
And when things go wrong, they do go wrong in real time… nobody is calling the Instagram bio for help.
They’re calling a professional who understands how the industry actually works.
Funny how quickly “anyone can do it” disappears when it becomes “someone needs to fix it.”
