Easy Ways to Save Some $ On Your Hen!
The first tip on last nights reel was to not instantly rely on Airbnb for your hen party houses.
It’s easy to think of Airbnb (sry) as the go to when booking a house, apartment or something different like a yurt or shepherds hut. Airbnb is a great concept, easy to use, often a good refund policy and usually there are so many options. It does however tend to cost more as there are a lot of Airbnb fees factored in which aren’t always transparent until the end by which point you’ve fallen in love with the property!
I’m not for one moment suggesting you try to bypass Airbnb and book directly with the property as there are potential risks with doing that, also it’s pretty unfair to use the platform and not book through it, plus Airbnb have literally made it impossible to exchange emails or phone numbers in the messages 🥴
What I am highlighting is that it’s not only Airbnb that can book properties like I’ve already mentioned. If you book through an independent travel agent, they may be able to secure the same property for you or if not, introduce you to many others(who may not list themselves on there) without the crazy fees attached whilst still knowing you have the security of booking through a professional, who has accredited industry standards such as an ABTA licence.
A couple of my favourite recent examples;
✨ I recently booked a villa in France, it is listed as £4,376 on Airbnb, and I booked it for my client for £2,262. A huge saving of £2,114!
✨ A saving of over £900 on a villa rental through rather than through Airbnb. £900 was just their fee and does not go to the property!😳
Obviously will not always be possible, but hopefully this is a little reminder to not just automatically rely on the big names 🤍
