Your journey will begin with 3 nights in Cape Town, situated at the base of Table Mountain and renowned for being one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Among the attractions are Table Mountain, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Camps Bay and Bo-Kaap.

A short drive from Cape Town are the Winelands, South Africa's premier wine producing region, your next destination for 2 nights. The stunning scenery, historic towns and beautiful vineyards all help to make this a great place to relax and enjoy the sights at a leisurely pace.

After sampling South Africa's superb wine your next stop on your self-drive route will be the pearl of the South African Garden Route, Knysna, for 2 nights. Here we recommend visiting the Garden Route National Park, Knysna Waterfront, Cango Caves and some of the picturesque hiking trails, which are all easy to drive to at your leisure.

Now on to the exciting safari segment of your trip! You will drive to Kariega Game Reserve, a family-owned and operated Big 5 private safari reserve located in South Africa's Eastern Cape, where you will spend 4 nights.

The reserve is situated along the Garden Route, making it the perfect South African safari destination to compliment a Cape Town visit and a drive along the country’s beautiful coast.

After breakfast on your fifth day in Kariega Game Reserve, you will check out and drop your hire car at Port Elizabeth Airport. If you are flying back home, it will certainly be with sweet and pleasant memories of your African Adventure.

We are busy finding magical experiences around the globe, and this is one we're so excited about! This is the Golden Horizon, the largest sailing ship in the world, offering a magnificent yet sustainable way to see the world.
Although it does have engines, it aims to use sailing power alone for 70% of the time, using the Earth's natural winds and currents to circumnavigate the planet.
With only 140 cabins, the Golden Horizon - a replica of a 1913 cargo ship and operated by Tradewind Voyages - is small enough to reach small ports and beaches, yet offers spacious luxury accommodation, several bars and facilities such as a spa and gym. There is even a deck at the aft of the ship that folds down, allowing you to enjoy watersports or jump straight in to the ocean to snorkel or dive.
The first voyages are around the UK, starting in June, then this elegant vessel will be moving on to Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Indian Ocean and Australia.

✈️ Some good news from the Middle Eastern airlines. Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad have introduced more flexible options for passengers that cannot travel because of Government travel restrictions, full lockdowns, flight cancellations or a positive Covid-19 test within 72 hours of travel.
