San Sebastian is known as one of the most beautiful and sophisticated cities in Spain. It’s well deserved fame! Just look at these shots 🧡

In the XIX century it became a favorite vacation spot for the royal family, a little later for the Spanish and European aristocracy as well.

We went on a fascinating guided tour of the city with our guests. The highlights are fascinating, we’ve seen and learnt about main attractions, including the Palace of Congresses Kursaal is breathtaking, it’s the place where the famous San Sebastian Film Festival takes place!

Of course, San Sebastian is famous for its gastronomy. The city has 16 Michelin stars! We tasted lots of unique and unusual pinchos - traditional Basque appetizers!

And here are our photos from the famous Tenuta Ruffino Poggio Casciano winery in Tuscany’s lush Chianti wine region 🇮🇹

Catch some interesting facts:

🔸Ruffino was the first Tuscan producer designated as the official wine of the Italian royal family (Ruffino Riserva Ducale is named in that honor).

🔸 It is also the first major wine producer in Tuscany, owning estates in three of Tuscany’s most famous wine regions: Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano;

🔸 The first wine producer to receive the guarantee card when Chianti was elevated to DOCG status.

🔸 And the first Chianti producer to export its wine in a typical straw-covered pouzat flask, or “fiasco”

Nothing unusual, just a truffle festival in France 🇫🇷

It starts with a hunt... imagine: you are in a forest, surrounded by trees, with an experienced hunter and his faithful friend - a truffle-seeking dog. There are real treasures hidden underground - white truffles and the rarest and most expensive - black truffles.

An unusual fact: it is customary to use females on a pig truffle hunt. This is because the smell of these mushrooms is similar to the pheromones emitted by males.

Do you know why nowadays it is mostly dogs that hunt for truffles, not pigs?

The problem is to get the animal away in time, or there’s nothing left to collect. Dogs are easier to train.

At the festival you will enjoy a variety of truffle dishes, from classic pastas to sumptuous desserts.

Enjoy highlights from our bespoke tour in Scotland!

Autumn is our favorite time to visit Scotland. It is when vibrant colors cover its mountains and hills. Another advantage to visit it during autumn months is fewer tourists, which means you can see the country as it is in everyday life.

We have just come back from our tour to iconic places and mysterious castles of the country. This was a beautiful escape from boring reality into the world of brave highlanders, romantic stories, victories and dramas.

The Royal Museum of Fine Arts opens in Antwerp, Belgium after 11 years of renovation!!!

KMSKA is the largest museum in Flanders, with a collection of all the important names for seven centuries of Belgian art, from Jan van Eyck and Rogier van der Weyden to Rubens and van Dyck. The museum was completely closed to the public for ten years!

Today's collection has 8,400 items - so many works can't be displayed in the renovated building at the same time. Therefore, after a careful selection only 600 items will be on display in the new gallery. Works that will not be displayed will be shown in a digital catalogue on the website.

The museum has been completely transformed and a grandiose opening celebration will take place on 24th September!

Secret tip: Where to go in Turkey? - Meet the sunrise at Mount Nemrut.

To discover the real Turkey, you need to travel to the east of the country. There you will surely meet the sunrise at Mount Nemrut, near the epic tomb of the king of ancient Commagene.

🟧 What is the tomb?
It is a sanctuary atop Mount Nemrut, over 2,000 metres above sea level. The giant 150-metre high mound of fine stone is surrounded by terraces decorated with statues of ancestors, gods and animals. The ancient architectural monuments are even listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

🟧 When to go to Nemrut?
From May to September, because it rains in autumn, and in winter the peak can be covered with snow.

🟧 What will you see?
Until dawn, you can wander around the mound in peace and take lots of cool photos. When dawn comes, the lighting will change and the statues with their views will look brand new. Everyone gathers on the eastern terrace to watch the sunrise. After the sun has risen, it's time to head for the western terrace, where the epic statue heads are located and the valley is covered in the giant shadow of the mountain.
