I’ve been a bit slow with social media recently because I’ve been busy,busy with organising a lot of travel for clients but also because I just find it so time consuming and a real headache!

Thinking of organising a holiday to celebrate a big milestone? Want a once in in a life time experience, unforgettable experience? Travelling to a place as untouched as Alaska can seem daunting… it IS one of the world’s wildest landscapes but that’s why we’re here, to do the planning for you. This raw and rugged land is a vast natural play ground where you can discover the largest glaciers , rugged mountains , pristine lakes whilst spotting humpback whales and seals, grizzly bears, polar bears, black bears , puffins, reindeer, otters , moose, eagles … the list goes on!

Bear viewing and fishing are best in July and August but there’s a chance to spot the Northern Lights between September and Mid April. So depending on what your interests are, defines the best time of year to travel.

One of the most unique features of this exclusive private villa in South Africa is that it houses an observatory where guests can use two telescopes , one to gaze at the night sky and the other to look directly at the sun. Set on a 20,000 acre private reserve , three hours south of Johannesburg this estate is encompassed by rugged rocks, mountainous areas, bushveld savannah, rivers, gorges, an abundance of wildlife and rich in archeological history and Bushman paintings. It’s a private playground for the outdoorsy and adventurous.

Today, I was supposed to fly to Marrakech for one of the most important events in the travel industry, PURE Life Experiences. An event that’s very close to my heart as I worked on it since it’s inception. My emotions and personal connection urged me to jump on a plane and help my friends in Morocco, who were safe but experiencing difficulties, especially in the mountains. On the other hand, my former team at PURE had also endured the shock and trauma of a major earthquake and were facing a challenging day of decision-making after a sleepless and traumatic night. I wanted to support them in dealing with the impossible. I am also only too aware of the devastating impact that natural disasters have on the tourism industry and the livelihoods of many people. I wanted to show my support by going to Marrakech and giving them my business, showing the world that everything can go on. But it felt too soon to be that hardy in the face of other people’s distress.
