The study at our Parkside Residence is a thoughtful mix of style and function with a stunning view overlooking the park, the perfect place to work from home.

The walls are lined with a patterned grass cloth from George Spencer for a rich, textured look. The feature window is dressed with soft sheers by Zimmer & Rohde which let in a gentle, filtered light, framed by joyful curtains in French flax by le Gracieux x Jeffrey Bilhuber.. Sandringham’s natural sisal carpet brings warmth and texture underfoot.

Furniture in the window was kept deliberately light to maximise the view, a mid-century teak desk by David Folker for Merrow Associates sits at the centre, paired with a sharp, 1980s-style “Arconda” chair by Paolo Piva, a striped sh**un lamp from Artemide adds a a bit of punch.

A mustard linen valance with a vintage trim adds a punchy contrast to a custom daybed in Pierre Frey mohair. on the opposite wall is a thoughtfully-styled bookshelf from USM, with a perfectly coordinated lamp from Bert Frank.

Designed to feel calm, focused, and quietly stylish.

We cooked up a win…

Last Thursday, Maddux Creative was invited to take part in Archichef London - a celebration where leading architects and interior designers step into the kitchen to express their studio’s vision through a single dish.

Our creation? Stratigrafia di Funghi, a bold, sculptural pasta dish inspired by the layered richness of our interiors. Like our projects, each element had its own identity - distinct in flavour, colour and texture -but designed to work in perfect harmony.

Handcrafted pasta, woven with coloured threads, formed the foundation - a play on materiality, composition, and movement. Earthy, elegant, and unexpected.

We were thrilled to cook alongside the brilliant teams from , , and - and even more delighted to take home the win!

Huge thanks to for hosting us in your beautiful space and letting design take over the kitchen for the night. And a big shoutout to and all the event partners who made Archichef London happen:

The night was full of great food, fierce creativity, and even better conversation. As Scott put it best: “After all, mushrooms are going to save the world”.

“They are easy to ingest. The paintings go down effortlessly. In part, it is the medium that makes them immediately palatable: Michaël Borremans’ oil-on-canvas figurative works are detailed—rich in texture and craft. They are transcendent confirmation of the artist’s hand. Distilled to a word: they are beautiful. The eye finds beauty easily and settles there, stuck to a flytrap. And then the eye waits nervously for the mind and instinct to catch up.” —Katya Tylevich

“You won’t find answers in Borremans’ work. He offers no narrative, no clarity, no escape. Everything is silent or seems to be silent. It is this deafening silence in his paintings, that lack of any certainty, that forces you to ask questions.

In A Confrontation at the Zoo, a selection of about fifty of his favourite paintings, Borremans’ power is at its strongest. In our bright, daylight-filled galleries, it becomes clear how masterfully he plays with seduction and bewilderment, with light and shadow, with revealing and concealing. How he entices you to look, but refuses to show you everything. Here too, Borremans grabs you and won’t let go. His paintings will continue to haunt you, even long after you leave our galleries. Like the echo of a strange dream - unfathomable and elusive, yet impossible to forget.” —Suzanne Swarts
