I Will Always Love You. Our song. My childhood. My country connection to my farming heritage and horse backed youth in Cornwall. Dolly Parton was everything to us, a soundtrack to my life, more of which I will speak about soon, but it is not lost on me that she passed on the year anniversary of my fortieth birthday (which was essentially in my eyes, the closest I’ll ever come to a wedding or baby shower/hen or chistening) and all based around my love of country, Dolly, the west and cowboy culture. She was sung loud and proud that evening at Famous First Words and my home is adorned with her likeness and quotes. I made the horseshoe sign, with her glam and sparkle in mind. Surreal coincidence and a very hard pill to swallow. Thankyou for everything you have given us and taught us! Also a massive thank you to my friends and cousins who travelled so, so far to come and celebrate with my and to everyone who helped build/mow/install and calm me down. Especially Tim Warwood and Adam Gendle who made my dream come true.
