✨Korean Buddhist temple cuisine has recently been designated as National Intangible Cultural Heritage ✨🥰

This unique style of vegetarian cuisine offers a different way to experience Korea's incredible food scene 🥢🍃🌸

In keeping with the Buddhist principle of non-violence, it excludes most animal-based ingredients and also avoids the five pungent vegetables known as oshinchae (green onions, garlic, chives, wild chives, and heunggeo, a type of leek) as they are believed to interfere with spiritual practice 🍵✨🌿

Located in Jeollanam-do, this is Asia’s largest natural habitat of white lotus flowers — known for its incredible landscape of endless green leaves and delicate white blooms🌿🌸
