It’s not every day you get to trek 100km across the Western Cape in South Africa for an incredible cause - and finish alongside an Olympic champion!
A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to take part in the Laureus Challenge with an awesome group of people - including sports legends Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill , Bryan Habana and Andrew Strauss - raising money for Laureus Sport for Good, a cause I’m passionate about, using the power of sport to change the lives of vulnerable young people.
Looking back, these photos actually say quite a lot about why I started SP.
SP has always been about more than apparel. It came from a belief in balance, and in making room for the things that make us feel most alive.
For me, the ocean has always been a big part of that - the energy, perspective and reset that comes from being in or around it. But equally, getting out there, exploring and pushing beyond our comfort zones.
It’s not always easy finding the time. But it’s often where the magic happens - shared experiences, new friendships, different perspectives and memories that stay with us.
And that’s really what SP is about. Finding balance. Holding onto that perspective and connection to the ocean, wherever life takes us. Making room for both sides.
City and sea. Effort and ease. Performance and recovery. Work and play.
Living on the edge between them.
That’s where we find flow. 🤙
